Hot tools works well. CHI is usually a little more expensive than $70 but its well worth it. That seems to do the trick for me and i have thick, coarse, wavy hair.

I have a conair straightener ($40) and it works pretty good! I also have really thick, wavy hair! However, you should really think about spending an extra $30 and getting a Chi....they last sooo much longer and they work better to boot!

Go to Target and get a revlon one, they heat up fast and are great on coarse hair (Ihave it too, but very curly) and they don't have that awful buring smell some straightners do. Or a Remington Wet2Straight is great! Both are about 20 dollars.

Conair! I have one and it works GREAT, I think mine costed 35 dollars, I got it at Wal-Mart. Although you can get them almost anywhere.

well for only 20 bucks more you could get a Chi - that is what salon's use! I have one, and it works really well!

I actually bought mine off eBay for around 70.00 but then had to pay for shipping. I have also seen them being sold at HEB for about 90.00.
