My wife really wants a new hair straightener cuz the one she has damages her hair. I just don't know what type to buy. They have gold, titanium, ceramic, etc. I'm not neccessarily looking for a name brand but you can throw one in there if you like. Just need to know which type is better.

CERAMIC!!!! Ceramic is what I used and I love it, it straightens so much quicker and I can't see any damage it's done to my hair. Also if your wife has really thick hair, it will still work.

That would have to be a Chi...any girl without one wants one! I believe they are ceramic (which is very good for your hair). They will cost about $160.00. If you can, look in your area to see if there is an Ulta3 (its a cosmetic store) near you. They sell them and have good deals on them too! I got one a few months ago, and will never use another kind.
