What type of hair straightener is best for thick curly hair???

I have heard of many hair straighteners but i don't know which would be the best for thick curly hair??

A conair, chi, sedu????

What type of hair straightener is best for thick curly hair???

Don't go with a conair- they're cheap, and tend to not get hot enough. I've also tried the CHI and I wasn't impressed.

I have super thick and curly hair, and the straightener I've had the best results with is an ION Conditioning Ceramic iron. It's navy blue, and has a digital tempurature reading- and you can set it anywhere from 200-450 degrees. I got it at Sally Beauty Supply. It put me out about $150, but it works like a dream. It makes my hair straight, silky and shiny.

Also, after washing your hair, apply some Redken Anti-Snap- it keeps your hair strong and healthy. After your hair is dry, before straightening it, put on some protective heat activated spray- Chi makes a good one, but Thermasilk does too if you want a lower priced one.

What type of hair straightener is best for thick curly hair???

no conair suckssssssssss!!!

they sell great ones at hair solons that work soo perfectt.

try going to a hair solon and ask them where they got theirs or see if they sell some

What type of hair straightener is best for thick curly hair???

Any type of tresseme is great.

What type of hair straightener is best for thick curly hair???

Sedu, the best iron i ever used (Chi, T3, Hot Tools, Conair)

What type of hair straightener is best for thick curly hair???

my family went thru 5 CHI in 3 yrs. Chi breaks within a

few months and you have to pay $35 plus shipping to get

it fixed.

Chi is being recalled now due to fire hazards. see:

Yes, CHI sucks!

What type of hair straightener is best for thick curly hair???

sedu

What kind of hair straightener do you recomend for someone with very curly frizzy hair?

i have very frizzy hair and most straighteners dont keep my hair straight for long

What kind of hair straightener do you recomend for someone with very curly frizzy hair?

i highly reccomend the CHI shraightener. its a bit pricy but its the best one out there. its a japanese thermal iron and it wont damage your hair! its totally worth the extra money.

What kind of hair straightener do you recomend for someone with very curly frizzy hair?

ceramic one. only way to go. other wise too much damage to hair. it is worth the extra $ other wise you will pay for a good haircut!

What kind of hair straightener do you recomend for someone with very curly frizzy hair?

I would use The Professional. It works great for me

Chi hair straightener?!?

Whats so great about the chi hair straighteners? Are they a lot better for ur hair lke not damage it and stuff or are they just good for it? Do u recommend it??

Chi hair straightener?!?

I have heard good thing's and bad thing's about Chi. I heard it works well, but then again I hear it breaks about a year of use. I don't really know. Personally I think the "cheap" brands work as well as the "expensive" brands. You should try buying a inexpensive brand first and if it does not work buy a expensive hair straightener.

As long as the flat iron has ceramic plates it won't damage your hair.

Chi hair straightener?!?

They are no better than a regular saightener they just get hotter. You can buy one if you want the labe but other wise you arent getting anything better than a regular straightener.

Chi hair straightener?!?

I have super curly hair, and one of my friends had the Chi Turbo 1 inch flat iron, and she used it on me, man..that was the STARIGHTEST hair I've ever had, and she didn't even put any products on me, I was amazed.

Chi hair straightener?!?

i had a chi and i first loved it and now a year later its broke i took care of it idk why its broke but alot of my friends had one too and theres broke about a year later.. i wouldnt spend the money on it. there are alot of good straighteners our there that work just the same or better and are not that much i bought a new one called jilbere and its great and was only 40 dollars at sallys beauty supply store and it works better than my chi did and gets hotter!

Chi hair straightener?!?

no a chi straightener is no better than the next. an anytime you apply that much high heat to ur hair there is no way to protect it unless you use a protect serum or cream b4 u flat iron. chi straighteners are only a ceramic overlay. not fully ceramic. ppl just thinkt hey are awesome bc they are chi. %26amp; chi flat irons break too easy. but no i would not recommend it.i would recommend then HAI :)

Chi hair straightener?!?

chi is the best.. It gets hotter, plus if you chi hair products it prevents hair damage from the heat.... they are a investment. I have had mine for 3yrs and going strong...

Chi hair straightener?!?

They get really hot. I love mine. Its amazing

Chi hair straightener?!?

chi straighteners are just about the best out there. ihave had mine for over 3 years, and it was the best investment i have ever made. it heats up extremely fast, and gets much hotter than most straighteners, which makes it possible to get the curliest of curly hair striaght. i have fine hair, but tons of it, and it makes my hair bone straight. i also use it every day, and it doesn't damage my hair as much as the "walmart brand" straighteners did before.

i would deffinitly suggest it to anyone who is willing to pay the extra $50 for it. it's well worth it.

hope this helps:]

Chi hair straightener?!?

they are definitely a step above all the rest.

the plates on it are actually ceramic, they do not just have a ceramic coating on it... this means that they last until the electrical part breaks, which is basically never. on a cheaper straightener, the coating wears off, and you end up having to by a whole new one. in the end, you will spend probably the same amount of money, so you might as well just get a chi now!

Hair straightener plates ceramic and/or tourmaline which work best?

I am interested in buying a pair of GHD hair straighteners for myself. please help!!

Hair straightener plates ceramic and/or tourmaline which work best?

definitely ceramic but make sure its not ceramic coated cos the coating will come off and damage your hair

Hair straightener plates ceramic and/or tourmaline which work best?

ceramic, ghd

Hair straightener plates ceramic and/or tourmaline which work best?

My Daughters assure me the ceramic ones work best

Hair straightener plates ceramic and/or tourmaline which work best?

GHD ceramic without a doubt. I've tried them all! Don't bother wasting your money on the others.

Hair straightener plates ceramic and/or tourmaline which work best?

ceramic girlfriend!!

Hair straightener plates ceramic and/or tourmaline which work best?

My friend has some Ghd's and they are fab I would definatley suggest you get some they are well worth the money and they also use them in hair dressers. I myself have used them and have had no problem

Hair straightener plates ceramic and/or tourmaline which work best?

GHD's are over rated. i have Remington power ceramics. i used to have GHD's and i use them every day as i am a hair dresser, and i much prefer the remingtons. they are just as effective and dont melt your damn hair! lol

plus i would rather spend 鎷?5 instead 鎷?25 and get the same results. ceramics are tried and tested. the bigger the paddles, the bigger the sections, and the less time it takes.

Hair straightener plates ceramic and/or tourmaline which work best?

ceramic, expensive, however worth it. Mega Hot Ceramics--Awesome!!!

Hair straightener plates ceramic and/or tourmaline which work best?

ghd only do ceramic plates not tourmaline

http://www.greathairdirect.com/

Hair straightener plates ceramic and/or tourmaline which work best?

ceramic definetly if u buy them from the hair dressers they guide u

Hair straightener plates ceramic and/or tourmaline which work best?

Hello beware the website is GHS not GHD, Ceramic are best!

Hair straightener plates ceramic and/or tourmaline which work best?

ghds are the best for your hair, the plate on them arent fully made with ceramic plates its actualy just a thin strip in the middle of the plate on your straighteners. Unlike other straighteners plates that are fully ceramic thats why ghds are a better quality and are safer to use on your hair without to much damage.

Hair straightener plates ceramic and/or tourmaline which work best?

Ceramic ones are the very best and i know this because i have one. Kays catalogue as well as Littlewoods have got really good deals on hair straighteners that i am planning to buy one this week because my hair really needs it.

Chi Hair Straightener...?

Has anyone ever used the new Chi Hair Straighteners? They look very professional and look like they work well...do they? Does it make your hair frizzy and dry? or straight and shiny?

Chi Hair Straightener...?

The Chi straightener is the best hair straightener I've ever used! Its worth the money and it makes my hair feel incredible! you can get a great deal on one at amazon.com

Chi Hair Straightener...?

STRAIGHT AND SHINY i love mine!

Chi Hair Straightener...?

Straight and shiny people claim but i tihnk you could find cheaper ones just as good. They are so expensive, but i guess they are good...

Chi Hair Straightener...?

LOVE em!!! but ake sure its not too hot! can be too much heat on your hair. But for every once and a while i love it!

Chi Hair Straightener...?

LOVE em'. Im on my 2nd one...its seems they short out after about 2 years. This happened to both mine and my sisters. But considering how great it makes my hair and how much I use it, its was ok. Get a nice straighting product you like and then a glosser when your done (I love fredic fekkai glossing cream at sephora). Get one you'll love it!

Chi Hair Straightener...?

I have it and I am know throwing mine away, paid $200 for it thinking it would leave my hair straight and shiny, like it leaves my friends hair but it just winds up burning mine. Because you cant control the Temperature. My advice DO NOT GET IT!!!!

Chi Hair Straightener...?

Revlon Straightner works just as good as the Chi, dont waste your money on that.

Ceramic hair straightener?

do ceramic hair straighteners damage the hair? is it any different compared to the other metal plates? and what happens if i use it everyday just on my fringe? i put loads of moisturizer on it though.

Ceramic hair straightener?

ceramic straighteners are better for your hair than regular metal ones... the ceramic keeps an even heat all the way through, and won't scorch and burn in some places. chi makes the best ceramic straighteners, but they can be pricey (however, you'll be getting your money's worth) also, you'll want to get the ones with the smaller plates (about 1" wide.) the large plates take longer to heat up, and don't get your hair as straight on the first pass through it.

make sure your hair is fully and totally dry before straightening it though. if the moisturizer that you use on your fringe has water in it, it's possible that it could boil your hair all the way to the core.

Ceramic hair straightener?

there atre new straighteners with tourmaline plates, these are much better for you hair also try not 2 use it everyday but if must then make sure u use a deep conditioner and a heat protection styler

hope this helps

xx

Ceramic hair straightener?

use ceramic hair straightner or it will damage your hair . moisterizer wont help you need thermal protection spray for your hair

Hair straightener heating element?

What do hair straighteners tend to use as the heating element. Are they inductive?

Thanks

Hair straightener heating element?

Inductive is a term giving to a component that produces electromagnetic waves to suit a particular purpose, hair straighner filaments are usually no more then a carbon film layed against a metal plate or a simple coil of thick wire deisgned to do nothing more then create heat.

I need a hair straightener that wont damage my hair?

i got the worst kinda of hair, its frizzy, its big, it wont stay the way i want it too.. if i blow dry it, it just gets worse. I have 2 hair straighteners at home, but they arent that great and every time i use them, my hair gets drier and drier.. they are ceramic and one of them is by conair and the other by revlon.. what do you guys recommend??

I need a hair straightener that wont damage my hair?

First of all when you straighten your hair it is always going to fry it. The key is to put a strengthening spray on before using the iron it will help it from breaking and you will get shinny and straight hair. You can buy a professional straightener at a salon that will work better than the one you are using.

I need a hair straightener that wont damage my hair?

why dont you cut your hair!? or try using virgin coconut oil, do you kinow that? its out in the market!!!!!

I need a hair straightener that wont damage my hair?

ok ok

a starightener is Wet2Style works great!

then have pantene pro-v curl enhancer when your hair is wet

dry it then straighten

it works for me rele well!

GL!

閳?br>I need a hair straightener that wont damage my hair?

I have the same problem. I needed a straightener that wouldn't dry my hair out and make the frizz worse. I found this great straightener. The brand is called wet to straight. You use it while your hair is wet and it has little vents that let the steam out. It is great!! At first I thought it would fry my hair but it doesn't. It leaves it nice and silky. I love it!!!

I need a hair straightener that wont damage my hair?

Ceramic is the best. A professional one would be better but they are expensive. Flat irons are very damaging because the get extremely hot, so really no matter what you use it will damage your hair. Try a styling product that will protect your hair from thermal (heat) damage.

I need a hair straightener that wont damage my hair?

ok my hair was the exact same way until i got a really good hair straightner it came from sally beauty and it was like $65 it is well worth the money my hair is so straight and smooth now and it works like magic and also you can get some stuff that protects your hair when you straighten it!! you can get some from wal mart, k mart, CVS, wal greens, drug stores, and from different hair places this is what i suggest

PS. the hotter the better ask for the hottest one because the hotter the better and the less you have to go over it!!!! and the wet to straight hair straightners that somebody suggest suck and they fry your hair!!!!

I need a hair straightener that wont damage my hair?

first of all dont blow dry your hair lol. i have the same problem. i use a good straightner. it doesnt damage my hair. and the good thing about it is it dries my hair as it straightens. its called remmington for dry and wet hair. its really good. you should try it. but you should also use a deep conditioner to make your hair softer. my hair is not damaged when i straighten it, it stays soft.

I need a hair straightener that wont damage my hair?

GO TO YOUR LOCAL BEAUTY SALON AND ORDER ONE OF THIERS. ****************************************...

REMEMBER WHEN THE STRAIGHTENER START TO TURN YOU NEED TO GET A NEW ONE.

I need a hair straightener that wont damage my hair?

my sisters got me gift GLOBAL BEAUTY from their salon. i been using it for 3yrs now. its ceramic and it work really good. 15 sec. to heat up and straights hair really good. it was $200 at the time not sure the price now. but it is worth it.

I need a hair straightener that wont damage my hair?

You really should try ghds. http://www.greathairdirect.com/ghd.htm

What are Chi Hair Straightener?

Obviously they are hair straighteners, I mean why are they different to average straighteners, would you recommend these for very long, thick hair? If so where can I buy some, how much are they and how long would it take for me to straighten my waist length hair?

Thanks in advance.

What are Chi Hair Straightener?

They are professional brand that are meant to be used with the Chi product. They don't have to be used with them but when you do you get very good results. They will heat up faster and be better on your hair then average straighteners. I would recommend the whole Chi line including the straightener for long thick hair, the Chi line is made for hair like yours. They may cost a bit but I know they last long and I believe they come with warrenty so if they wreak they will replace them.Try this site... http://www.folica.com/brands/chi_2.html?... Or I'd even suggest a local hair salon or ebay is a good place to get this stuff.

What are Chi Hair Straightener?

yes I have very long thick hair and the chi rocks.... better than any other hair straightner

What are Chi Hair Straightener?

I Dont Know Srry

But My Hair Is Wavy And Out Of control

Try Big Plated GHD Straightners

What are Chi Hair Straightener?

I have very long hair, and they are the most selling hair straighteners in the world, usa at least. but I have one an dit works great, my hair is about mid-back length and it takes form 5-8 minutes to straighten.

What are Chi Hair Straightener?

Chi is the name brand of a hair straighnter. A Chi straighter runs about $100. They can be bought at a beauty supply store.

What are Chi Hair Straightener?

Well I have found it impossible to get hold of a Chi hairdryer and straigheners here in the UK! I read excellent reviews about them and tried desperatley for a month to get them from all sources - ebay, internet etc, but it seems they were only on sale in the USA. (different voltage, plugs and hige import tax) :(

Try looking at www.folica.com They have some great before/after shots of people who have used and rated Chi products.

What are Chi Hair Straightener?

It's a straightening iron that is made of ceramic instead of metal, which is much better for your hair. I have one and if I were stuck on a deserted island with only 3 wishes, my Chi iron would be my first wish! It works wonders for frizzy hair. You can get one from any hair salon for about $120. You have to take one inch sections of your hair at a time and it works best when you follow the Chi down your hair with a comb. If you have waist length hair it might take you a good 30-40 minutes depending on how thick your hair is. Good luck!

What are Chi Hair Straightener?

They're above average straighteners with ceramic/ion features.. which is why they're kinda expensive. Sally's beauty supply should have some, if not try Wal-Mart or Walgreens. The internet is always a good marketplace.. just be sure it's not a bootleg form Japan :).. I would recommend chemical straightening for long, thick hair b/c it cuts down on time considerably since all you must do is maintain it's state. But that's only if you want it in the long run. Those are expensive 4real. It would take you over an hour to straighten your waist-long thick hair w/ any straightener.

What are Chi Hair Straightener?

About $100 but a little cheaper on Ebay, best straightner there is. You can find them at any beauty supply store, try Sally's Beauty Supply. Think a friend of mine said she got hers on ebay for $59 bucks and it was a steal. Works really great on thick hair.

What are Chi Hair Straightener?

i recommend you to get any sort of straighteners which have a solid ceramic plates on and go up to a temperature of 200 to 230c.

GHDS,CHI'S, and CHS are all good hair straighteners . they bring my hair up lovely and soft and no waves found. always perfectly straight !

What are Chi Hair Straightener?

I am not a sells person but girl it's just a good iron to have. I have 3. You can use them on damp or dry hair. I leave the hair silky smooth and it's 90% better than a regular flat iron. Don't use the imitation because there are a lot of them out there. It sill want compare to the original Chi. Once you use it, you will see the difference. It's very good on thick hair it will leave your hair feeling so light.

What are Chi Hair Straightener?

The Chi flat iron provides straightening and shine without damaging your hair as much as other flat irons - giving you much healthier looking hair in the long run. The main difference in Chi irons is their ceramic plates and construction. Other, less expensive, flat irons are static and do not have the "give" the Chi iron has, resulting in damage, particularly split ends.

According to makeupalley.com (the place that I go to research any beauty purchases that I make - especially large ones) The CHI Iron is rated at 91% satisfaction, out of 344 reviews - the main complaint being the price. The CHI Iron can cost about $100 - $200 dollars - but this is money well spent if you plan to straighten your hair regularly.

You can find them at the lowest prices on Ebay, sometimes on overstock.com

The time required will vary based on the thickness and texture of your hair. My thick, wavy, shoulder length hair takes about 45 minutes.

To keep your hair looking its best make sure to use a heat-protective serum and have your ends trimmed regularly. Hope that helps.

What's a good hair straightener that I can use?

My hair is naturally wavy, but I want to have straight hair. I've tried straightening my hair before, but it's so damaging. I was told it's because of the hair straighteners I was using (Conair and Revlon). Could you please tell me what straighteners are good other than the Chi? Thanks!

What's a good hair straightener that I can use?

the basic Hot Tools straightner which is $30 at Ulta. I love it.

What's a good hair straightener that I can use?

i have a con-air platinum and it works

very well. i love the chi, but they break

too easily. and they're very tiny and not

good for extremely curly hair. i think

con-air would be your best bet.

What's a good hair straightener that I can use?

Um.. Conair is pretty gud but then if you go to malls they have booths they have straightners. i forgot wat its called but its really gud. Its like pink and one is black. Like Hillcrest mall and Vaughn mills have it and idk maybe others in Canada.

What's a good hair straightener that I can use?

To be completely honest, with hair products, the more expensive, the better.

What's a good hair straightener that I can use?

Some other good brands are GHD, T3 bespoke labs, and babyliss. There is an iron by cricket that is less expensive and also pretty good, it's the one with floating plates, the others in their brand don't have floating plates. You shouldn't have too much damage from flat ironing as long as you make sure hair is Completely dry before you start and that you use the lowest heat setting that will work for you texture of hair. Keep the iron moving steadily, don't hold it in one spot on your hair or pull on your hair with it. It should be a steady motion. Heat safe styling products do help too, they shield your hair from the heat and make the style last longer so you have to use the iron less.

GHD hair straightener question ???

I know these are one of the best hair straigteners there is.

But I was wondering,

What makes them so good ?

What makes them straighten hair so quick and easily ?

Is it the 230c heat ?

If so, why don't people just buy 230c hair straighteners that aren't GHD - They do exist lol

Best answer gets 10 points.

Thanks

=)

GHD hair straightener question ???

i think it might be the way they are shaped. But i just have one of thoughs wet to dry straightener, it works just fine and was only 40 bucks!! lol.

GHD hair straightener question ???

because of the hype put on ghd straightners

hope you like the answer

GHD hair straightener question ???

never heard of um but chi's are tha best to me!

GHD hair straightener question ???

I believe it is because they have ceramic plates. Usually they heat up faster and do not burn your hair. Mainly people buy it because of the brand. Like everyone that buys a CHI...

Best hair straightener out there...?

I got my hair cut shorter and now its easier for me to straighten and it takes less time. I have a Bed Head and it works ok. When the lady styled my hair she used a Chi and my friend used a Chi on my hair and it works really well. Are there any other good straighteners like the Chi?

Best hair straightener out there...?

Sedu Revolution

Andis

Best hair straightener out there...?

Best hair straightener out there...?

at Sallys Beauty Supply they have their brand of straightener its just called "ceramic" and it works just like a chi.

Best hair straightener out there...?

the best straightener is the wet to dry but dont get scared if it sizzles when your hair is wet that just means its working

Best hair straightener out there...?

I'm not sure about the Chi but the one I have is Connar... the new version and it drys and straightens... I love it

Best hair straightener out there...?

I have the conair platinum. it works really good. its about sixty dollars though.

Hope This Is The Best Answer.

Best hair straightener out there...?

Personally, I use a good old blow dryer on wet hair.

Best hair straightener out there...?

I found that GHD's work best! Although theyre really blimmin expensive.

Best hair straightener out there...?

i think conair is good

Best hair straightener out there...?

GHD straightners are the best and well worth the money.

I spent 鎷?00s trying to find a good pair and wished i'd jusst brought the GHD ones to start with.

You can get the older standard ones for about 鎷?0 which isn;t bad as i paid 鎷?40 for mine. They heat up within 30secs stay hot and keep you hair poker straight until you next wash it.

Best hair straightener out there...?

OMG... Revlon! It is the absolute best...EVER!!! Get the 1" iron!!

Best hair straightener out there...?

My friend uses a Sally Hansen one that she got at a salon, because they say that anything under $20 for a straightener, and you are most likely guaranteed to ruin or burn your hair.

Best hair straightener out there...?

CHI is the best it can even curl ur hair but all thin round tipped curlers can but i have had long hair short hair and medium lengthed hair and remington gets ur hair REALLY straight and adds GREAT shine to it! there is one that is thick and a thin one that drys and straightens GET IT!!! (best answer please)

Best hair straightener out there...?

Yes! Chi straighteners are fantastic. My friend uses it and it looks amazing. Personally, a stylist reccomended a Kresso Damp to Dry. It was about $150, and worth every penny. It's really durable. It heats in a minute and has different heat settings. I prefer it over a Chi.

Good luck!

Best hair straightener out there...?

Yes.

People say Chis work the best, but there are many that work really well too....for less cash too.

Some that i know work well are: Solia (said to be second to chi), Andis (one that has an a on it) Conair, Revlon, and Sedu.

Good luck!

Best hair straightener out there...?

u aughta try the "forever" hair straightener, i got it a couple weeks ago, by one of those chinks selling stuff in the mall it gets really hot, it softens your hair, and it gets rid of ur split ends. its awesome!!!!

Best hair straightener out there...?

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Worst: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore.

Best hair straightener out there...?

i dont know

Best hair straightener out there...?

sedu is really good

its a little expensive but worth it

people think my hair is naturally straight

and its ceramic so it doesnt do a lot of damage to your hair

it also straightens faster so it saves alot of time

Best hair straightener out there...?

Do NOT get CHI. my family went thru 5 CHI in 3 yrs. Chi breaks within a few months and you have to pay $35 plus shipping to get it fixed.

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission just announced a recall of Chi flat irons due to fire and burn hazards:

CHI sucks!

Temporary Hair Straightener?

I have really curly hair...really, really, poofy curly hair. (I'm black, Metis, and white.) I need to straighten it so I can cut it... Anyone know of any temporary hair straighteners that'll wash out?

Temporary Hair Straightener?

use any straightner and some bio-silk anti-frizz serum

Temporary Hair Straightener?

I use a Remington straightener...the one with the fabric plates so it won't damage the hair.

I am very happy with it!

Temporary Hair Straightener?

Just get a hair straightener, a flat iron... try a Revlon one, you can find them in wal mart for a little over $20.00, they work real well!

Temporary Hair Straightener?

you do get certain chemical products in local stores which are temporary, but i think not so good for the hair, why dont you use a straightening iron its temporary , stays till the next wash and by the way when you cut your hair, you get it wet with water so then y do you need to straighten it, i will be manageable when its wet, dont you think so?

Temporary Hair Straightener?

No shampoo is going to straighten your hair.

I would buy the following (I have it and use it)

A remington Wet2Straight hair straightning iron. You can buy it at wal-mart for 30 bucks. It is the best. Your hair will feel like silk when you straighten your hair with it. Just put some anti-frizz serum in your hair while it is wet.

Your hair will stay straight until you wash your hair.

Hope this helps.

Good luck

Temporary Hair Straightener?

here's a thought.. probably not the healthiest but i've seen it done.. some friends of mine forgot their straightener when we drove to mexico so they used an iron.. a bit risky sure and my guess is it's not healthy for your hair but hey why not?? if you just need a temporary fix.

What kind of hair straightener is good for my hair? (Picture)?

- I have VERY thick hair

- The texture is in between course and soft?

- My hair is naturally wavy

I've heard some good things about CHI and PAUL BROWN straighteners, what do you think about them? Recommend me some other hair straighteners as well? Thanks :)

What kind of hair straightener is good for my hair? (Picture)?

If you get one from a Salon you will be ok! Don't buy on over the counter they don't do any good for your hair! The one I have is from a salon and it works great i use itevery day and I don't even need product for it! my hair is still in great shape! And my hair is pretty much like yours Best of luck to you! What kind of hair straightener is good for my hair? (Picture)?

never heard of the two you've mentioned. i have natural curly hair, and i use a REMINGTON. it's a wet 2 straight straightener. i use it wet or dry....always makes my hair bone straight and shiny! i love it. can be bought at walmart, or any drug store probably.

What kind of hair straightener is good for my hair? (Picture)?

CHI is the best!!! I have really curly hair and it make it perfectly straight in like 10 minutes!!! Plus its really shiny and lasts a long time. Other good ones are ghd and corioliss.

What kind of hair straightener is good for my hair? (Picture)?

I have naturally wavy hair. I use SEDU straighteners and it is one of the best out there. It made my hair smooth and shinny. Like any hair straightening always use a heat protector to prevent damage to your hair. I got mine at folica.com, for about $120 and I been using it for almost 3 years now.

What kind of hair straightener is good for my hair? (Picture)?

You should try a revlon straightener,I have really curly thick hair and it made my hair very straight you can get them at like Walmart

Hair Straightener Advice Please?

I am going to Barbados in April and my beloved GHDs do not work over there. I want to buy another set to use over there but do not want to pay over 鎷?00 for the new GHD dual voltage straighteners. What are the best dual voltage hair straighteners on the market for an affordable price?

Hair Straightener Advice Please?

Just buy an adaptor for the socket over there, then you can take ure GHDs

Hair Straightener and Straightening Cream?

I am going to Ulta today to get a hair straightener. Should I go ahead and buy a straightening cream with it? If so, which one would be best? I have VERY curly, frizzy hair.

Hair Straightener and Straightening Cream?

Definitely buy cream/serum/product to go with your straightener! If you flat iron your hair with no product your hair will split and break off over time. You also won't get as smooth of a result.

I recommend using Biosilk hair serum after towel drying your hair, then blow dry, then spray with Straight-Sexy-Hair straightnening spray (it's like a spray-starch for hair, the iron will go over it smoothly - it's awesome!) and then iron straight. I'm a stylist and I always recommend those to my clients.

If you can't get those particular products - get something - anything! If not your hair will fry. Good luck!

Hair Straightener and Straightening Cream?

John Frieda frizz ease with heat protector, its new Its really good.

Kerastase S鑼卹um Ol鑼卭-Relax 125ml

Hair Straightener - Remington Wet2Straight?

I have semi-straight hair naturally, but when I just wash my hair it's a little wavy and puffy. I'm looking into buying the Remington Wet2Straight and I want to know how well it works. Can it straighten your hair completely flat, and does the straightness last all day? Also, where can you buy one of these straighteners and how much does it cost? HELP!!

Hair Straightener - Remington Wet2Straight?

about 20 dollars at target or walmart. if you hair is semi straight your hair will look completely flat but i dont recommend using it on wet hair - its bad for your hair. to keep it stright all day you should use a spray like tresemme of herbal essences. hope i helped

Hair Straightener - Remington Wet2Straight?

my friend HAD a wet2straight and she said it fried her hair and dried it out. therefor... i do not recommend it...unless you want fried hair....they are about 30-40$$$...

not worth it.

Hair Straightener - Remington Wet2Straight?

Not when it's wet, no matter what the box says, it will ruin your hair.

Hair Straightener - Remington Wet2Straight?

it's not worth it. that would burn ur hair.

i reccomend CHI.

Hair Straightener - Remington Wet2Straight?

I got mine at Linens N Things for about 25 bucks. It works well, but now the plates are all rusted from using it when my hair is wet. It works well and gets your hair very straight. Flyaways are limited too.

Hair Straightener Suggestions Please?

I have extremely curly, poofy, and frizzy hair. It's semi-thick too. Are there any good hair straighteners under $35 that I can buy? I want to make my hair completely straight.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hair Straightener Suggestions Please?

ok, there's an $18 conair straightner that's really good. it can't perfectly straighten your hair though. if you want perfectly straight hair, take a section of your hair and work your way down from roots to ends with the conair straightner, leavint the straightner on each area on your way down for 10 seconds tops. it takes a while, but its cheap and keeps your hair straight throughout the day.

Hair Straightener Suggestions Please?

save yourself some time and just save up and get a chi trust me you will be happy you did

Hair Straightener Suggestions Please?

chi is a good brand but they dont have a good grip on the iron so its really easy to drop. but it is the greatest straightener i have ever used

Hair Straightener Suggestions Please?

I would get it professionally don't cheap straighteners had a tendency of frying hair.

Hair Straightener Suggestions Please?

hot tools straighteners work really well also ceramic ones. try going to sallys they have really good cheap ones

You get what you pay for. Get a CHI around $100 bucks but worth it, it gets way closer to your scalp than cheaper ones do, because it is thinner in shape and works on all hair types...

Babyliss Pro 230. They are the best straighteners I have ever used. I don't know if you can get them in America though and they cost about 鎷?0-鎷?0 here. Also GHD's are some of the best but they are 鎷?00 and I personally think the Babyliss are better.

Hair Straightener Suggestions Please?

Rather than using hair straighteners - go and get your hair straightened in a salon. It will cost you ard $100 (your hair will remain straightened at least for 6 months) but it is better than using chemicals every now n then. Using chemicals will damage ur hair. Once u get ur hair straightened after 2-3 weeks u can start conditioning ur hair with home remedies such as eggs. It will protect ur hair .

Pink Hair Straightener with rubber tip, what brand are these?

In my local shopping centre in essex i came across a small stool selling hair straighteners which can also be used to curl your hair. There was a man demonstrating how to use them and was explaining to me that there was a rubber tip on the end which helped create the curl. He also showed me that no matter what the straighteners would not burn anything. I really want a pair because he did a straightening demon on my hair which left it feeling so soft but they were 鎷?0 so before i pay that i wanted to see if they had them on ebay but for the life of me cannot remember the brand name, does anyone have a clue what im talking about.

Pink Hair Straightener with rubber tip, what brand are these?

carious r sumthing like that i think if they were demo in debenhams then tats them hope that helps

Pink Hair Straightener with rubber tip, what brand are these?

GHD? Although mine don't have a rubber tip, but I can use them to make curls.

Pink Hair Straightener with rubber tip, what brand are these?

i thought it was 'angel curls' or something like that.......

Pink Hair Straightener with rubber tip, what brand are these?

i wouldn't spend 鎷?0 on a pair of straightners from a stool!! iv got the pink ghd's and there the only one's id ever buy!! mine don't don't have a rubber bit on the end but that wouldn't serve any kind of purpose anyway! unless your likely to hit your self in the head with them, which wouldn't be very clever!!

Pink Hair Straightener with rubber tip, what brand are these?

Barbie brand

Hair Straightener Help!!!?

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Worst: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

Hair Straightener Help!!!?

Go to target or Wal-mart and buy a Conair ceramic flat iron, I'm white, but I dye my hair a lot and my hair is really easy to damage, and the Conair ceramic flat irons work very well for me, they make my hair really soft and very straight. It's been a personal favorite for ages! I've never had a problem with them.

They're easy to use too, you just turn them on and let them heat, then clamp it on your hair and pull down, it'll take a few goes to straighten really fluffy frizzy hair, but it will work - I know many people who are black who use them as well. My best friend has super curly hair, and she uses conair ceramic flat irons as well - you'd never know she had curly hair if you'd never seen her before :]

Hair Straightener Help!!!?

I don't have any videos, but all you really need to do is flat iron your hair. My hair is in its natural state, I wash, condition and blow it dry then I flat iront it and it looks really nice people think my hair is chemically relaxed.

Hair Straightener Help!!!?

You could get a perm, but if you want something cheaper you can buy one of those kit ones, and instead of curling your hair comb it straight while it's perming. I would recommend getting it professionally done though.

Hair Straightener Help!!!?

Take a look at this:http://www.bosshair.com/index.asp?PageAc...

a few tips from me :condition your hair with a protein treatment always after every straightening (whenever you wash your hair it helps build the hair strands that are damage from the heat)make sure to moisturize it later cause protein treatments dry the hair.Apply a little moisturizer ,and applya quality heat protector before straightening or blodrying.I use fantasia ic heat protector serum (it somehow cause build up because of the silicone but i does a good job)then start with parting your hair, blow drying, then the flat iron(or just do it with the flat iron only for lesser heat). Some good ones are CHI,maxiglide.

Good luck!

I know i asked this already but what do i clean a thrift shop hair straightener with?

I know i asked this already but what do i clean a thrift shop hair straightener with?

I know i asked this already but what do i clean a thrift shop hair straightener with?

Try vinegar on a cotton ball, I use it to clean old curling irons that have burned hairspray on them...or go over it with rubbing alcohol.

I know i asked this already but what do i clean a thrift shop hair straightener with?

I would wet a cotton ball with alcohol and wipe it down. The heat of the straightener itself should kill anything else.

What is/are the best straightening balm(s) to use with a Solia Hair straightener?

I have really thick hair

I love the straightener

Just want a Balm (or 2 or more) just in case

What is/are the best straightening balm(s) to use with a Solia Hair straightener?

Aveda light elements smoothing fluid. It worked wonders for me. I'm unsure of the straightener, because I have a Chi. It is a little pricey but it lasts a long time and it is so worth it. My hair is really thick and it makes my hair look much thinner and it is no longer frizzy. I love it

What is/are the best straightening balm(s) to use with a Solia Hair straightener?

i also have really thick hair and I use Simply Sleek Straightening Balm from John Frieda and Straigh Answer Frizz Ease Spray

Please Help Me...How Do You Apply TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Extra Extra Straight Hair Straightener

ok, its kinda weird, but umm i have no idea how to apply the TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Extra Extra Straight Hair Straightener...cause they say to spray it on sparingly, but its foamy like moose, so it looks funky, and it doesnt really straighten, it makes it look like gel..

am i doing it wrong? please, i really need help, i really want that awesome straight hair like the whole scene/emo kids have (hehe)

oh, please give me any tips on straightening, cause it makes my hair look kinda poofy and bad when i straighten it...

also if there are any products that's good, please tell me

im useing tigi bed head

Please Help Me...How Do You Apply TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Extra Extra Straight Hair Straightener?

You just spray it on a few times in each section of your hair. If you want something to straighten and smooth out your hair 1st apply a serum to your hair blow dry it straight then use a heat protection (the GHD one) then straighten your hair

Please Help Me...How Do You Apply TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Extra Extra Straight Hair Straightener?

maybe u have a bad straightener? get one with good ceramic plates. when i straighten my hair, i brush all the knots out. then i take small sections (starting from ur head) and slowly pull it down.

try using a cream for ur hair instead of gel. i use freeman anti-frizz cream right b4 i straighten my hair, and it makes it softer and super straight. (yes, like emo kids.)

or u could use a straightening shampoo? like herbal essences.

Please Help Me...How Do You Apply TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Extra Extra Straight Hair Straightener?

I have that. you spray it in your hand and you dab it in your hair. dont put a lot on top because then it will look oily

i suggest you go to target and get a remington straightener. it changes color for temp or something. get one with creamic plates

Could anyone please tell me whether it is possible to take my hair straightener to Europe?

I have a silver bullet hair straightener, will it work with just the normal European adaptor, will i need something else aswell or will it not work at all.

Thanks for any help.

Could anyone please tell me whether it is possible to take my hair straightener to Europe?

You'll need an adaptor to convert the 240V standard European voltage down to the usual U.S. 120, but that's about all. Maybe you would like to check the technical data of the adaptor, usually theres a wattage (W) named, sometimes abbreviated as VA (Volts times Amperes); doesn't matter, it's all the same. This number should be at least the same or higher than the wattage of all the devices summed up you'll use at the same time on the adaptor. When in doubt, buy a second adaptor, and never use two devices on one adaptor at the same time.

Could anyone please tell me whether it is possible to take my hair straightener to Europe?

I use my straightener all over Europe with no problems once you have the European adaptor , I even used it in Egypt

Could anyone please tell me whether it is possible to take my hair straightener to Europe?

sure! just pack up the converter! I'm using US charger and DVD player here

What is a good product at walmart to straighten you rhair beside a hair straightener?

what is a good product at walmart to straighten you rhair beside a hair straightener that wont break your hair off or make u go bald... can you put a link with it plz

What is a good product at walmart to straighten you rhair beside a hair straightener?

If you do not want to use the straightener, purchase a flat iron, or a ceramic straightener, they sell them by the hairdryers. Use a straightening serum along with it. If you do not find it at walmart, look for the serum at sally's beauty supply. Frizz-ease works ok, but I buy from sally's. I also buy Silk elements glossing polish from sally's. I use all of these products on the days I choose not to leave my hair curly! Good luck, curly hair is a blessing, but it can also be a nightmare to straighten.

What is a good product at walmart to straighten you rhair beside a hair straightener?

I have really curly, frizzy hair and I like the Frizz Ease products by John Frieda. They have a spray that helps control frizz and straighten hair. I use a large paddle brush when I dry my hair, seems to do the trick!

Would a Wigo庐 Professional 2录" Ceramic Flat Iron be a good hair straightener to use?

I really need a new straightener, mine is too small and kinda damaging my hair. Anyone know if this one is any good or not?

Would a Wigo庐 Professional 2录" Ceramic Flat Iron be a good hair straightener to use?

I DONT KNOW I HAVE A CHI.

Would a Wigo庐 Professional 2录" Ceramic Flat Iron be a good hair straightener to use?

Wigos break fairly easily, not very reliable, and they fry your hair. All flat irons will fry your hair to a certain extent, but some will do it more than others. If you don't get the flat iron I recommend, at least make sure that it is ceramic, they don't damage your hair as much. When you flat iron your hair, you will also want to use a protective spray/product. I don't know any offhand, but I'm sure you can find a good quality one. The flat iron I have is a 1 3/4 inch (I think), it's a Sedu. I got it off of www.folica.com it's a great site to get flat irons, it's reliable, and much cheaper than if you were to buy it from a salon. CHI's are also phenomenal, not the most reliable, but they work wonders.

Either a CHI, or a Sedu.

Good luck!

Would a Wigo庐 Professional 2录" Ceramic Flat Iron be a good hair straightener to use?

I have Wigo 2 1/4 Flat Iron and I must say I LOVE IT!!! I set my dial to the appropriate number and it works great. Of course CHI Irons are one of the best but also one of the most expensive but maybe you can contact a salon and ask this which they prefer based on your type of hair or the look your going for. Good Luck

Would a Wigo庐 Professional 2录" Ceramic Flat Iron be a good hair straightener to use?

it's alright. But your best bet is to invest in a Chi. I consider it the best flat iron on the market. It runs about $140 but it's worth every penny. You get what you pay for.

Anyone has this sort of chi straightener (see below)...is it super good?does it work on damp/wet hai

http://cgi.ebay.com/CHI-INFUSION-PRO-CER...

Anyone has this sort of chi straightener (see below)...is it super good?does it work on damp/wet hair?

Oh no no no you can't straighten wet hair it will fry!

Anyone has this sort of chi straightener (see below)...is it super good?does it work on damp/wet hair?

i have it! its pretty awesome but mine u cant use on wet hair or damp it will burn it or something idk.

Anyone has this sort of chi straightener (see below)...is it super good?does it work on damp/wet hair?

Infusion is part of the brand name. This flatiron is good, but I wouldn't use the serum that comes with it.

NO, do not use a flatiron or curling iron on wet hair. That's a good way to fry the crap out of your hair and mess it up really badly. A little moisture is ok, but if your hair is "wet" don't touch it with anything but the blowdryer.

If you haven't used a flatiron before, go to a pro and have them show you the technique. When I bought mine, I thought it was crap because it didn't work, but it was me not doing it right - now I get nice flat hair with it. Mine is similar to the CHI, but a little more pricey. See the photo for the result you should expect.

Anyone has this sort of chi straightener (see below)...is it super good?does it work on damp/wet hair?

the chi straightner is definitely worth it! its the best flat iron i've ever used. it heats up really fast and will make your hair super straight. all of my friends have one and we all have different hair textures and styles and it works really well for all of us...so invest in it! you won't be disappointed.

while on vacation i got suckered into buying a corioliss hair straightener, and whithin three days i realized it was not a good investment, does anybody know how I can possibly return it, and if yes where at?

Does anybody know how I can return a corioliss hair straightener that I bought 4 days ago?

If you go to folica.com there is a link to email them and also they give you return instructions. As long as it hasn't been 30 days yet. Here's a Phone number you can try 888-919-4247.

But most of all in the future try not to purchase anything significant while on vacation, they can be extremely hard to return

unless it's a large well known company.

I noticed that the Corioliss hair straightener has a remote control that comes with it...what is the point of this? Is it worth paying more for this?

What is is point of a remote for a hair straightener?

the remote is probably used to set the temperature of the hair straightener, so you can set what heat you want.

advantages of this:

- you won't burn your hair with ONE temp (the highest) you can set the lowest and do minimum damage.

Hi, I am trying to buy my sister a hair straightener for Xmas but don'y know which one to get.?

She has really thick and fuzzy hair. My Morphy Richards straightener works fine on it but I don't have 閳?30 to spend on her. I was looking at babyliss and Vidal sasoon. Also - what is the benefit of tourmaline coated plates.

Get her any ceramic Babyliss straightener. They are the best when it comes to hair straightening and help in increasing the quality of the hair without causing any damage to it or split ends.

i like phillips..

their product make me SMILE!

Hi, I am trying to buy my sister a hair straightener for Xmas but don'y know which one to get.?

Ceramic Chi -- it works the best and does the least damage. It's pricey, but if it's something you know she'll love, make it a joint gift with someone else -- one of her friends or family. My siblings pitched in to get me one a few years ago! ;)

One thing you may want to consider is looking on ebay. These things don't really tend to wear and tear, so as long as you buy one in good condition, that's always an option.

Hi, I am trying to buy my sister a hair straightener for Xmas but don'y know which one to get.?

go with a salon brand name. it may cost a little more but it will last sooo much longer i have had my chi for 2 1/2 years and its still perfect. so chi or babyliss or something like that would be good

Does anybody know where i could get a good hair straightener?

Target is having a sale on their conair hair appliances this week. Check them out. I saw their ionic hair straightener for less than $20 dollars in this week's advert. I don't know if they have a ceramic one though.

Does anybody know where i could get a good hair straightener?

remington is a really good brand, but be careful, the wet-to-dry can really damage your hair if you use it too much

Does anybody know where i could get a good hair straightener?

search it somewhere on the internet or just go shopping for 1 and if it looks like it a good 1 just bye. But just look fora cheap 1 no reason to go over $40. The 1 i have is good and it was $15 dollars.

from your gurl

Wild N' Wonderful

Does anybody know where i could get a good hair straightener?

The ones that are 100-200 bucks ARE the good ones. If you buy anything cheaper, they are usually only ceramic plated, and don't last very long. If you're looking for a good investment, then I suggest you pay a little extra for the quality.

Does anybody know where i could get a good hair straightener?

At the salon I use a CHI flat iron. It is expensive, but it gets hot and does not pull the hair. I really like it b/c I can control how hot it gets by the amount of pressure I use. I know that my salon does not sell them to consumers but some jcpenney salons do. You could go to Sally Beauty Supply and look at their selection. I like the CHI b/c it is all ceramic. It is worth the money if you use it a lot.

Does anybody know where i could get a good hair straightener?

you can get one anywhere. target, walmart, longs, walgreens-just about everywhere. i think conair is the best straightener. it works really well! i use to use Wet2straight but i stopped because my hair stylist suggested me not to use it anymore because she told me that it damages hair.

Does anybody know where i could get a good hair straightener?

You can't get one that is inexpensive that is good!! None of the cheaper one's compare to a CHI. They were created for use in a salon so they are meant to be going all day and be used all of the time, so they last forever... The plates are full ceramic, so they get hot and stay hot fast. Ceramic also helps to prevent damage to your hair. You only have to go through your hair once, instead of going through it 80 times. If you spend the extra money, it really is worth it. Be sure to use a protectant too, to help prevent damage... I love Chi Silk Infusion. (They sell flat irons from cheap to expensive at ULTA)

Does anybody know where i could get a good hair straightener?

Just use a perm solution but instead of using curling rods, brush it out during the processing time. it works great. I have to redo mine every 4 months or so.

What are the results after getting burnt by a hair straightener?

What are the results after getting burnt by a hair straightener?

What are the results after getting burnt by a hair straightener?

nothing, it will scab and flake off in a few days, rarely leaves a scar, depends on how bad u burnt urself. if it was a quick burn then u dont have anything to worry about

Can the Conair Infiniti Tourmaline Ceramic閳?Wet璺疍ry 2" Hot Air Straightener become a regular ha

and is it very similar to the Infiniti hair designer (Pink) I have that one and it does not work well for me. I don't want to make the same mistake by buying a similar type of product. In the straightener mentioned in the question, can you turn off the hot air setting and just use it as any other straightener. any help is appreciated

Can the Conair Infiniti Tourmaline Ceramic閳?Wet璺疍ry 2" Hot Air Straightener become a regular hair straightener

i dont think it works so dont waste ur money on it

Can the Conair Infiniti Tourmaline Ceramic閳?Wet璺疍ry 2" Hot Air Straightener become a regular hair straightener

I don't know but I do know that Conair products in general suck. Try a Chi.

Is a wet/dry hot iron better than a regular hair straightener?

I've heard that a wet/dry hair straightener won't damage your hair as much. Is this true? And if so, does anyone know of a good one?

Is a wet/dry hot iron better than a regular hair straightener?

No, it's definitely not. I have a wet/dry one and I tried out my friends whose was a different brand than mine and her worked better so I recommend Remington. Not a very popular brand but, it works well.

Is a wet/dry hot iron better than a regular hair straightener?

no its not true....it actually depends on the brand of the staightner....the best brands are Paul Mitchel or CHI....I hope I helped out!! Good Luck!

Is a wet/dry hot iron better than a regular hair straightener?

no.....its not true!!! u need to go through the correct steps to get a great look that wont damage ur hair!!! a chi is the best it will work with ur hair to bring back the natural gloss.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

Against my better judgement, I have just purchased a cermaic hair straightener to help tame my unruly hair. I know that these heat-producing products have many negative effects on your hair, and I am wondering what are some good tips to help minimize the damage.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

Buy a flat-iron spray. I use the matrix one and love it. This not only protects your hair from the negative effects of a ceramic hair straightener, but it also helps your hair to straighten more quickly. Another thing you can do to prevent damage is to always make sure that your hair is completely, 100% dry before you start to straighten it. Straightening wet hair causes tons of damage.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

use it less often and make sure its REALLY HOT so you just have to go over the strand once

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

try garnier hair serum. put it on your ends to lock up moisture.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

you must get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks, and CONDITION, with good stuff. I recommend Redkens All Soft Conditioner; you can leave it on for a few hours. I do it on Sunday when I閳ユ獡 cleaning house. You just need to keep up with your hair and you閳ユ獟l be fine.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

condition your hair a lot, deep condition using a hair mask or plain deep conditioning treatment once a week, and use a heat styling tools protective spray on your hair each time you use it. OH, my friends do this a lot: no matter what anyone says, NEVER use an iron on wet hair. that's asking for split ends. also use maybe an anti frizz or dry hair shampoo.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

Use a really good heat protectant spray/conditioner.

This one is my favorite:

http://tresemme.com/heat/products/heat-t...

It doesn't make your hair greasy and it smells so good while smoothing and shining your hair!

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

Use a good shampoo.

Use a good conditioner.

Or, use a 2-in-1.

[Daily]

Good luck. 閳?br>The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

start with the lowest setting on the straitener. if that doesn't work turn it up one setting. try using the lowest amount of heat possible. and if you have a beauty supply store in your are purchase a product called 2000 calarie conditioner. It's a deep conditioner you can use once or twice a week to help repair any damage you might cause. will help keep your hair health.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

it works good but only the ones from the mall.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

Use some hair protection when using heat stylers. Some serums can be found at the drugstore. Most say that it's for protection against heated style tools, etc. They work really well! And try to not straighten your hair at least one day a week to give it a break from heat.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

Any form of heat is damaging to your hair. The best thing to do if you use heat (hair dryer, straightner, curling iron) Is to apply a leave in conditioner of some sort or styling agent. I use 24/7 Straightening cream from Sunsilk. Also a second little tip if you are worried about split ends from damage. Before you wash your hair apply conditioner to the ends of dry hair. Then go about you regular showering routine.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

The best way to keep from damaging your hair is keeping your hair properly moisturized. Try using a heat activated conditioner. Try not to use excessive heat, most ceramic flat irons have a temperature gage don't use more heat then necessary. And my last piece of advise is to regularly clip all split ends in order to prevent further damage.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

always use a thermal straightening spray ... is sprayed on hair to protect the hair cuticle from the heat damage.... a good 1 id Regis thermal straighting spray... go to any salon and ask.......... do not buy the stuff at wal-mart etc... to much alcohol in them they just dry our your hair more... Good luck

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

you need to condition you hair make sure your hair is completely dry before straighting it and bye a heat protectant also don't put too many products in your hair at once your hair will greasy and won't have any body.

Hoped I helped!

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

use a creme to moisturize and hydrate the hair. i use Sunsilk Straighten up 24/7 creme

How do u get the heat protectant spray off ur hair straightener iron??

it made a weird orangeish mark on my hair straightener will it damage my straightener? how do u get it off??

How do u get the heat protectant spray off ur hair straightener iron??

Be careful about rubbing aluminium foil on your iron as suggested by other users... I used a non-abrasive scouring pad and still damaged my $150-iron!!

I suggest you invest a few bucks in an iron cleaner, it's well worth the money. I use the Sedu iron cleaner. Just spray on your cold iron, leave on 5 mins and wipe with a piece of tissue paper. Done! Your iron will be like new! :)

How do u get the heat protectant spray off ur hair straightener iron??

heat the iron on high and ball up some aluminum foil and rub it off.

I have fine but very wavy and fly-away hair. I recently bought a hair straightener. How often should

The hair straightener is ceramic and works very well on my hair.. It'd be great if a hair-stylist can answer this.

I have fine but very wavy and fly-away hair. I recently bought a hair straightener. How often should I use it?

dont use your ceramic straightener too often because if you do then your hair will break off once a week maybe

I have fine but very wavy and fly-away hair. I recently bought a hair straightener. How often should I use it?

Whenever you want to but hair straightener ofter ruin hairs so....

I have fine but very wavy and fly-away hair. I recently bought a hair straightener. How often should I use it?

It's good to use the hair straightener because it makes your hair so shiny and beautiful. But you shouldn't use it everyday because it's most likely your hair will get rough and dry. It's good to use it like one week you do use it the next week you dint like that. Remember you can always use a blow dryer that works good too.

I have fine but very wavy and fly-away hair. I recently bought a hair straightener. How often should I use it?

Don't use it too often because you can get split ends if you do it too much. If you have fine hair, as you say, split ends are especially noticable.

I have fine but very wavy and fly-away hair. I recently bought a hair straightener. How often should I use it?

It really depends on what kind of shampoo you have. If you have expensive and good shampoo that works very well and fixes damaged hair/split ends then you could do it a few times a week. But if you have normal shampoo then streighten it only once a week to avoid damage

Has anyone used a Revlon or Vidal Sassoon hair straightener?

What is your experience with the two brands? Which is better?

(By any chance, has anyone used the Revlon wet and set hair straightener?)

Has anyone used a Revlon or Vidal Sassoon hair straightener?

I have never tried the wet to straight flat iron, but I know they are NOT good for your hair at all. Hair is most vulnerable to damage %26amp; heat when it is wet, %26amp; no matter how a straightener is advertised, even if it says it works great on wet hair, it will RUIN YOUR HAIR %26amp; give you tons of split ends, as well as rough, dry, tangled strands. I have tried a Revlon %26amp; it didn't work too well. I have thick, soft, shoulder length wavy hair, %26amp; it is in good condition but Revlon did not keep it straight at all. It stayed straight for literally 15 minutes before I saw my waves again. My friend, who has thick curly long hair uses the vidal sassoon %26amp; her hair looks amazing every morning. I've never used it, so I wouldn't know, but judging by my friend's hair, I'd say the vidal sassoon works pretty well. As with any flat iron though, make sure you use hair products such as heat protectants. I highly recommend Tresemme Heat Tamer %26amp; tresemme Anti-Frizz Secret. They work to keep your hair straight %26amp; protected from heat, as well as reduce flyaways %26amp; frizz. Happy Straightening!

Has anyone used a Revlon or Vidal Sassoon hair straightener?

'Wet and set' or 'wet to dry' hair straighteners crap out on people all the time. They do dry your hair but your hair is never 'straight' so I wouldn't waste your time. I have a Revlon and it had the black panels, but gold is good too. Vidal Sassoon is 'ok' but not so great... I guess it might depend. i really love Revlons, but you don't want the small ones unless you have thin hair... or if you have a lot of time to straighten your hair. If you want quick straight hair then use a Revlon, I have one and it's really good... give it a chance and let me know how ya like it. Good luck! =]

Has anyone used a Revlon or Vidal Sassoon hair straightener?

I used to have a couple of pairs pf vidal sassoon ones. They were part of the pro-elite collection and they are really good for people who have really thin hair.

Has anyone used a Revlon or Vidal Sassoon hair straightener?

I've used both, I prefer the Vidal Sassoon flat iron, the wet and set doesn't do so well, I usually have to use that and then go over it again with the sassoon straightner.

HAIR STRAIGHTENER questions?

i have brown hair that is meduim thick. its thick but not like major thickness. my hair is almost 3 inches below my shoulders

1. what size straightener should i use?? why?

2. does that dangerously straight spray (to protect hair when straightening, by herbal encensses) actually work good?

3. does dangerously straight 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner work? i own it and used it like 5 times, but i can't really tell the difference

4. Any other tips about straightening?

HAIR STRAIGHTENER questions?

The size of straightener is all about personal preference. I prefer the smaller ones but i have friends who like the bigger ones. Depending on your budget CHI's are really good hair straighteners, but i hear they are expensive.

The protector stuff does work. And you can't always tell the difference in the short run but your ends won't get as fried with it.

If you can't tell the difference with the dangerously straight it may not be that good. I prefer having my shampoo and conditioner seperate. I like herbal essences dangerously straight seperates, i could tell a huge difference. but if your hair is already pretty straight then it might not make that big of difference for you.

OH and when straining do it in sections.

HAIR STRAIGHTENER questions?

How do I get rid of buildup of gunk on my hair straightener?

I've had my hair straightener for a while, and its gotten this buildup of stuff on the plates, most on the edges. Maybe its from hairspray, i dont know, but its really hard to get off, it almost has to be scraped off and i dont want to damage the plates. Its impairing how my straightener works Has anyone had this happen to your straightener and how did you get it off? Thanks!

How do I get rid of buildup of gunk on my hair straightener?

I work in a salon and the girls use rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball to clean their flat irons. I've used it on mine and it works great. Don't use anything abrasive as it will scratch the coating and ruin your falt iron.

How do I get rid of buildup of gunk on my hair straightener?

i think its time for a new one =]]

How do I get rid of buildup of gunk on my hair straightener?

The same thing happened to mine...it is from any product you put in your hair that gets stuck on the plates when you straighten your hair. I either gently scrape it off with my nail (when it is off of course), or if that doesn't work, take a damp cloth in hot water and wash the plates. The hot water will dissolve the buildup. Again, the straightener should be off. It worked for me...good luck!

How do I get rid of buildup of gunk on my hair straightener?

WD-40

How do I get rid of buildup of gunk on my hair straightener?

what you should do is go to any store(like wal*mart)and buy a magic eraser and when its not in use clean it with that.

How do I get rid of buildup of gunk on my hair straightener?

i'd recommend ditching that one and getting a new one....

but if u want to keep that one...make sure ur straightner is unplugged and take bleach and alcohol and scrub the plates w/ a sponge (louffa textured) and then use q-tips to get in the creavices.

make sure it dries completely before using it again

or use a razor blade to scrape it off after putting a layer of soap (bar of regular soap will do) on it

How do I get rid of buildup of gunk on my hair straightener?

Use some rubbing alcohol or look on the box it came in if you still have it and it should have cleaning instructions.

How do I get rid of buildup of gunk on my hair straightener?

Scrub it with fine steel wool. This is available from any hardware store.

And be careful. Steel wool can cut your skin quite easily. Place the steel wool on the plate, and place a face cloth over it to protect your hand. Then grab the two and scrub the plate.

It shouldn't take much force to clean the plate. When you have both of them clean, rub it down with another face cloth, to clean off whatever steel fragments might have dislodged from the pad. Then discard the steel wool in the trash, and put the face clothes in the wash.

Don't use the steel wool on any painted surfaces. It will scratch the paint terribly.

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

or using hair straightener without blow dryer is enough for best result?

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

for best results blow dry your hair straight then use straighteners

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

I think it works better if your hair is dry. Blow drying first will help start the straightening process. Good luck! :)

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

Depends on your hair, if it is really wavy or curly you may need both. If it is fine then you can prob just go with straightening iron.

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

You don't have to blow dry it, it can be air dried. I would not recommend using it without drying your hair though. It will damage wet hair.

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

Yes it will help straighten the hair, but most importantly if you straighten while it is still wet it can damage your hair, i should know haha

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

you should blow your hair first before using hair straightner, because it'll give best result.

but if your straightner has ion on it, you dont have to blow your hair first.

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

you should not use hot iron's on your hair without drying it first you will damage you hair so bad you will end up shaving it off.

you should blow your hair put a small amount of leave in all day conditioner, then use your irons.

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

It depends on which straightners you use and how kinky your hair is. I have very curly hair but With my GHD's it takes me 10 mins to get it poker straight from curly, 5 mins if i've blow dried it first.

If your using straightners not so good as GHD's then i would say to get it poker straight yes you will need to blow dry first then clip sections of your hair up and do it bit by bit.

Don't forget to use a protective serum or spray/cream.

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

I usually blow my hair dry and then use the iron, that way I don't lose the body..if you iron damp hair you may get ''iron-creases that arent attractive, plus it may damage your hair more using it on wet hair..if you do use on wet hair, make sure you dry the roots before, that will give you a little up-lift to make the straight-do more attractive

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

dry it or you'll fry your hair and it will break off

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

as a cosmetologist.. we advise to dry your hair. then use a straightner... also use some kind of seal that will protect your hair.. so you dont have fly aways or split ends. Regis design line has a wonderful hair straitener seal. it works wonderfuly and leaves your hair feeling silky and smooth.. GOOD LUCK :)

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

Unless your straightener is especially made to straighten wet hair (such as the Remington Wet2Straight), then you MUST blow dry your hair prior to straightening. Otherwise, the straightener will damage your hair.

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

Yes.

Unless you let your hair dry naturally.

Either way just make sure it's dry.

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

i believe that it works better when it is dry. Trying to straighten it when it is wet will make it frizzy and create dead ends. Your best bet would be to blow dry it first.

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

I recently found a straightening iron at Walmart that has a function where you can use it on wet, damp and dry hair with different setting for each. It cost around $20.00

It has these little vents in it to give off the steam from your wet hair and I have found that my hair feels a lot softer when I use it compared to my blow dryer and it saves me an additional step in the morning.

I love it and my daughter uses it now too.

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

That is too much heat on your hair and it will damage it. You should use one or the other, unless you're in a huge hurry in which case, the blow dryer is your best friend before using the flat iron.

Try to let your hair air dry though, brush it with a smoothing brush (Conair makes good ones) and then use the flat iron.

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

Oh my gosh, YES! You absolutely need to blow dry it first or it will fry your hair. You can buy a straightener called 'wet 2 straight' which is what I have. You don't need to blow dry your hair with that. However it does a cruddy job on straightening.

You don't really need a flat iron to straighten your hair. A round brush does a good job if you know how to use it right.

If you have your heart set on a flat iron then to make it easier on yourself section pieces off. By doing that it will be a lot easier.

Make sure you get the back of your hair! It looks so tacky when theres bumps in the back. If you can't get it, try flipping your hair over. Or have someone do the back

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

I have really thich wavy hair and have found the best thing to do is wash it in the evening use semum and let it air dry , then straighten in the morning. If I blow dry and then straighten it goes dry and staticy

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

depends on the straightners!!

If its GHD

Then yeah unless your want to destroy your hair!

You should also use some heat defence spray and dont go over the same bit repeatedly!!

use a clip to section your hair!!!

Get two mirrors to check the back its really hard to do properly!!!

Good luck

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

Ur hair has to be dry first, otherwise straightening it while its wet will take to long and it will be frazzled, damaged and frizzy

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

yes of course you need to blow dry your hair, prefferably with a Denman brush till hair is almost dry.

Then mist with a straightning serum and straighten har with irons.

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

well what i do is...i take a shower and wash my hair the night before..let it dry overnight and straighten it then..i used to blow dry it then straighten but i found out that it dryed out my hair way to much.....so i found this to be better..its also quicker for me..since its already dry

Do i have blow dry may hair before using iron straightener?

Usually it doesn't matter. However if you have wet to dry straighteners then it is perfectly alright
