Hair straightener for guys?

Well i got a new hair straightner for christmas and its been really good.

My hair hasnt been damaged and i love it,

Its a Remington micro diamond, and yea its good.

Good luckk. (:

Hair straightener for guys?

Chi is the best, hands down.

They are a little pricey but they don't damage your hair as much and your hair will be straight even in hot humid weather.

Hair straightener for guys?

i dont think you should go all out on a straightener and purchase a GHD etc.

Maybe just a slim remington straightener will do?

Its best to find a straightener with an ADJUSTABLE temperature so that you wont burn your hair too much. You can lower the temperature to a mild heat setting.

GHD does not provide an adjustable temperature, so it can damage your hair if it's fine.

Hair straightener for guys?

I use a Chi, but I have long hair.

For a guy with short hair I would suggest not spending so much, and just going to buy a cheapo one from target. I mean come on, it's all about low maintenance for men. Most girls don't want their men spending more time doing their hair than them.

Hair straightener for guys?

dont staighten your hair it'll look bad pick a new hobby like surfing make your hair a touch curly and medium length the chicks'll luv ya.

Hair straightener for guys?

i rekn that guys who straighten their hair is perfectly normal and can look pretti hot lol i recommend using remington they are an awsusm make and sumtimes the most expensive straighteners are the good ones... u can also get straightners for men so try lookin on ebay or go to a hair salon/shop and enquire about it but i supose saving al the time straightening ur hair everyday u can get it permantly straightened this lasts up to weeks and months hope i helped!

Hair straightener for guys?

you have to get one that is 100% ceramic, otherwise it will just burn the hair with the metal. you can also use iron shield sprays, which protect your hair and make it smell really good too.

Hair straightener for guys?

Sedu works great for my THICK, FRIZZY hair. it is the only iron that let my hair stay straight for days even in high humidity (new york city).

I know i asked this already but what do i clean a thrift shop hair straightener with?

I know i asked this already but what do i clean a thrift shop hair straightener with?

I know i asked this already but what do i clean a thrift shop hair straightener with?

Try vinegar on a cotton ball, I use it to clean old curling irons that have burned hairspray on them...or go over it with rubbing alcohol.

I know i asked this already but what do i clean a thrift shop hair straightener with?

I would wet a cotton ball with alcohol and wipe it down. The heat of the straightener itself should kill anything else.

Hair straightener made hair more curly?

I use a chemical hair straightener and all the other times it works pretty good but it won't unless i let it air dry. I don't shampoo it much i normally use conditioner and a small amount of shampoo or itll get REALLY puffy. I just straightened it again yesterday and it still get poofy nomatter what and is curlier than it was before. Is there anything I can do to get it less puffy?

Hair straightener made hair more curly?

GO TO REGIS HAIRSTYLIST AND BUY A STRAIGHTEN BALM THAT IS THE NAME OF IT, AWESOME PRODUCT, I USE TO WORK THERE FOR A LONG TIME AND USED IT ON A LOT OF CLIENTS WITH CURLY HAIR, VERY GOOD STUFF. NOT EXPENSIVE EITHER

Hair straightener made hair more curly?

Did u put a straightening product in before u straightened it??

that might help.

or maybe an anti-poof product..

Can using a hair straightener often damage hair at all?

Can using a hair straightener often damage hair at all?

(Ya know, from the heat?)

2) Ive also got this problem with my hair curling just at the very bottom and id rather have all of it straight.. is there anything i can do other than using a straightener to fix that?

Can using a hair straightener often damage hair at all?

Yes, straighteners can damage your hair if you use them every single day. Keep your hair healthy by washing and conditioning it. Is your hair wavy or curly? If it's just a little wavy and you want it really straight, use a straightening shampoo like Herbal Essences brand. (They have shampoo, conditioner, and other products) That should keep it straighter, but you can still use a straightener to get it just right.

If you just want to do the ends, blow-dry it when it's wet with a brush. Brush it through and hold the brush at the beginning of the curl. Add the blow-dryer and move them down your hair together.

Can using a hair straightener often damage hair at all?

1) yes i think it can.

2) hair mouse! ya know, that foamy stuff.

Can using a hair straightener often damage hair at all?

Use a product specifically to be use with a straightener. It protects the hair and makes it straighten better. Go to your salon and ask them to recommend a product.

Can using a hair straightener often damage hair at all?

Yes it can especially The low quality straighteners.

Can using a hair straightener often damage hair at all?

all forms of heat damage hair... the thing is do you care enough to stop doing it????

Can using a hair straightener often damage hair at all?

I asked my hairdresser bout using the straighteners 2 much... she sed it was best 2 try and straighten your hair at da max of 2 times a week. My hair curls at ends as well, mouse, hair spray or gel would work. Have an experiment.

Can using a hair straightener often damage hair at all?

pretty much any type of thing that heats up and you can put it on your hair, does damage your hair. and I would recomd using an iron guard like CHI's 44 iron guard that you can buy at beauty brands for $13.49 in a 8.5 fl. oz. (250 ml) bottle. and getting your hair trimmed aka getting those nasty split ends cut off also get rid of that "curl" your talking about!

Can using a hair straightener often damage hair at all?

Any form of excessive heat will damage hair

Can using a hair straightener often damage hair at all?

you can use a straightener product every 6-8 weeks but it will begin to damage you rhair. there are products you can buy to protect your hair and keep it from damaging. also you can get astrightening iron to do the ends of you rhair where it keeps curling up. i hope this helps.

Can using a hair straightener often damage hair at all?

straightners can damage your hair. If you want to use a straightners for your ends, i recomend using heat spray protecter.

Can using a hair straightener often damage hair at all?

It will reuin your hair. My sister and I had really curly hair since we were little. She always wanted her hair straight so she always flat ironed it. Now it is stuck straight and hardly curls when she wants it to. IF I were you, I would love my hair for what it is because after you damage it so much, it will never be the same.

Can using a hair straightener often damage hair at all?

always use a product before using a straightener, like chi iron guard. Also, a high quality flat iron, like the chi iron is better to use. It is high price, but worth it. You dint have to run it through your hair a much as the cheaper ones, taking less time and is less stressful for your hair.

Hair straightener again...?

If I get a straightener where I can straighten my hair while wet, will it damage my hair less?

Hair straightener again...?

Nope

When you apply heat directly to wet hair, you're actually boiling it. Sounds bad, huh?

Having seen the damage that that causes, I personally prefer straightening my hair (with an iron) when it's dry. Use a styling agent for heat styling (Aveda has the best line), that might cut down on the damage.

Hair straightener again...?

NO .... IT IS BAD 4 U .... straightner in general is bad ! ... u ll lose hair, it's texture and strength ... i suggest go natural ....babe !

Hair straightener bag?

Where can I find one of those protective sleeve/bags to put your hair straightener in when you're done using it? They make them so that you can slip your straightener in the sleeve you so you can put it in your bag while it's still warm, and it won't burn anything.

Hair straightener bag?

Check on Ebay, they may have them. I have one for my personal use and one I use in salon and when we travel. I love it. It is a CHI Bag, and you might be able to get one for like 10 bucks!

If not e-bay check the local beauty supply store.

Hope that helps?

How do I curl my hair with this Chi straightener?

I have this Chi straightener:

http://www.health-store.com/CHI_Turbo_ha...

I've been told that I can't curl my hair with this kind of straightener and I've been told that I can. Well, I've tried to curl my hair many times, but it didn't work.

Can anyone help me? Tell me if I can curl my hair with this straightener and how to do it or do I need to buy one that doesn't have the velvety back like the Chi I have now?

By the way, I got the Japanese treatment done like six months ago and what products should I use to help curl my hair.

How do I curl my hair with this Chi straightener?

I have that straightener too, and if someone told you that you could "curl" your hair with it, they don't mean that you'll be able to do ringlets; pretty much all your going to be able to do is flip your hair out at the ends (like nancy drew style)

How do I curl my hair with this Chi straightener?

Not all CHI's can curl, sorry but this one can't, you need a round shaped 1 in CHI for spirals, this one can only flip it out.

Um, I guess that CHILISHILIBANGBANG doesn't realize that you have a different model of CHI than the one's in the videos. Again, the ones in the videos, like I said, are the round shaped 1 in straighteners, not the big one that you have.

YES YOU CAN

Hair straightener ok?

Is a hair straightener with the gold plates okay for hair? I got one recently and it works well, but I hear a mix of 'it's less damaging' to 'it's more damaging' from people.

If it's not good, what can I use?

Hair straightener ok?

Yes, it's good.

If your hair gets damaged, just use some hydrating shampoo and conditioner. :)

Hair straightener ok?

Yes! mine has gold plates and works very good, without burning the hair, you should use a serum from Paul Mitchell or Bed Head! good luck =)

Hair straightener ok?

I had one and my hair is fine =]

Hair straightener ok?

well it does give you split ends easier but all of them do that, but overall ceramic makes my hair softer and not s statciy so yeah i would say its ok!

Hair straightener ok?

i always use the one with the gold plates, and it works juss great! but then before i straight my hair i usually put somethig on it so it wont get dry, and frizzy. so yahh, hoped i helped! =D

Hair straightener ok?

all straighteners will damage your hair after a while but dove has a shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair but i dont know wut it is called...hope i helped :-)

Hair straightener ok?

it's not so much one is better than the other it's the amount of heat you apply to the hair. the more heat you apply the more damage it does, both very high heat and/or using it too much is not good. some have ceramic, metal all kinds of coatings but it's the heat that's damaging. try to keep the heat below 370 degrees above that temp it really begins to damage the hair. try to remember to use a protective spray on your hair before you flat iron your hair that will help keep down the amount of damage also.

Hair straightener ok?

no it burns ur hair

to make sure doesnt get burned use something to protect it

i would recomend proclaim glossing polish just put some before straighting it and after to make it shiny trust me its better to be safe than sorry i didnt use it at all and now my hair looks like it doesnt have any mousture so use something u could find products like that at sallys its kinda expensive put trust me its worth it!!

Is there a hair straightener that doesn't damage your hair so badly?

I've heard that the T3 wet to dry hair straightener is supposed to lock in moisture and not damage hair...Does anyone know if this is true? And are there any other straighteners that wouldn't make my healthy hair turn dead and gross?

Is there a hair straightener that doesn't damage your hair so badly?

Ceramic Straighters.

Conair is awesome.

Is there a hair straightener that doesn't damage your hair so badly?

yeah there is a hair staightener at walmart. i forgot the name but it works really good. it straightens my hair really good when i use it.

Is there a hair straightener that doesn't damage your hair so badly?

use tresseme straighting gel before u straighten it

Is there a hair straightener that doesn't damage your hair so badly?

there isn't unfornunatly. My freind is a researcher for babyliss and GHD, and they can't find anything, if they ever do i'll let yooh know, but nope. my only recomndation are decent straighteners and heat protection spray. =]

sorry x

Is there a hair straightener that doesn't damage your hair so badly?

Get a Chi hair straightener they are the best on the market. Any heat is going to damage your hair though.

Is there a hair straightener that doesn't damage your hair so badly?

i have a brush i got at walmart that presses you hair together to help straighten it. you can use a hair dyer to help it straighten more and its less damaging to your hair.

Is there a hair straightener that doesn't damage your hair so badly?

Well to my surprise I did not believe in any one being good and was very hesitate to purchase one till I went to the beauty salon and said what the heck I will get it done and the straightener that was used is the clairol ceramic turbo and a little of aloe vera oil and whala it looks and feels great I really love it and have been using it for about 2 months now and my hair could not be any healthier its looks and feel silky just as before NO dry ends whooo peee. Good luck.

P/S CVS Pharmacy has that straightener on sale right now for $15.99.

Is there a hair straightener that doesn't damage your hair so badly?

although wet to dry straighteners sounds appealing, their actually more damaging to your hair. Unfortunately, flat irons are all damaging to your hair. If your looking for a good flat iron that makes your hair look nice go on www.folica.com search different brands read the reviews. The best rated one on the site is called the Sedu, i think i might buy it. So have fun picking out one!

Is there a hair straightener that doesn't damage your hair so badly?

Unfortunately, almost all straighteners are probably gonna damage your hair, but to prevent this try Tresemme Instant Heat Tamer Styling Spray which controls frizz, conditions your hair, and protects it from the heat of the straighteners.

Is there a hair straightener that doesn't damage your hair so badly?

Although all straighteners are harmful to your hair to a certain extent, there are measures that you can take to reduce the damage. First of all, only straighten clean hair. Putting heat on dirty hair only increases your risk of breakage and split ends. Also, be sure to use a heat protectant spray (sedu, tresemme, chi, and my personal favorite sebastian potion 9 are all good choices). Then, the most important factor is your flat iron. Do NOT use flat irons that are sold in the drug store or wal-mart (the only acceptable one is CHI because it's sold at target now). You definitely get what you pay for! The cheap flat irons that are sold in wal-mart and drug stores (con-air, revlon, etc.) are usually only coated with ceramic instead of having solid ceramic paints. Therefore, the paint chips off and consequently snags and burns your hair. Also, these do not distribute the heat evenly which causes you to have to go over the same piece several times, causing more heat damage. On folica.com, you can find several great irons under $100. I have the solia which i love and i only paid $89. I have heard that HAI is good as well. These are professional irons that are designed to cause as little damage as possible. Finally, try to straighten your hair no more than twice a week. I follow my own advice and still have beautiful, healthy hair! good luck!

What's the best hair straightener (sp?)?

I have really, REALLY thick hair, and it's a huge mess. it's really poofy, frizzy, and a big tangle of curls and waves. I brush it a lot before i leave and a few hours later it starts getting frizzy and everything again. I went to my hairstylist to get my hair cut and he straightened my hair when he was done and i loved it! Now i'm wondering what the best straightener is to get for me. I have a conair but i straighten my hair in the morning and by late afternoon it starts becoming wavy. Is there a straightener that could "tame" my hair?

sorry this is so long.

Thanks in advance : )

What's the best hair straightener (sp?)?

Supperr Novva%26lt;3

llovee it ..

but it might be rather expensivve

well good luck hoe(:

What's the best hair straightener (sp?)?

i'd suggest a Sedu.

A lot of salons use them, you could ask your hairstylist what kind he used. My hairstylist uses Sedu. Or GHD. They're amazingggg.

What's the best hair straightener (sp?)?

chi!!!

What's the best hair straightener (sp?)?

i have a chi and i really like it...whenever i use my friends conair now i don't know how i used to be able to straighten my hair with anything other than mine because it works so much better

What's the best hair straightener (sp?)?

well i no how u feel!! i went in 2 the hairdressers the last day nd they were all like omy gosh how thick is your hair!! 3 girls had 2 straighten it!

well i bought a ghd and to be honest with u i would be lost without it! i no it does cost quite a bit but 2 be honest ITS DEFINITLY WORTH IT! i have had mine 4 at least 2 years and straighten my hair atleast 5 a week and the straightner is PERFECT! its worth it!!

Goodluck!

XxX

What's the best hair straightener (sp?)?

Any straightener will work fine. This Chi bullshit will work just as well as one from Wal-Mart, you just have to know how to use it.

Stay away from professional irons (the expensive ****), they're meant just for that.. professionals. They get way hotter than Conair and the like, and if you don't know what you're doing you will **** your hair up even worse.

The wavy-ness could be from humidity in the air or sweat from your scalp if you have gym or something. Try going over your hair with the blowdryer on the cool setting after you've straightened your hair. I also spray my hair with hairspray (the one in the aerosol-type can, not the pump kind), let it dry, and then brush their hairsprays hold out to keep it from frizzing if it happens to be a little humid.

What's the best hair straightener (sp?)?

I got my Solia a few years back, it worked great for my hair (and my sister's hair too). Last August my sister went to a college in california, she took the Solia with her. Initially I wanted another Solia, but Jonna (my hair stylist) convinced me to get a Sedu. I did. Like Jonna said, Sedu is the best.

Now they have 2008 model (Sedu Revolution) , i can't wait to try it!

What's the best hair straightener (sp?)?

Sedu is the best. That's what my hair stylist use. I've tried many flat irons (CHI, TCP, T3 and GHD).

What's the best hair straightener (sp?)?

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

=== Tips for buying professional hair appliances ===

Do NOT buy professional hair appliances from unauthorized places like amazom.com, eBay, Target, Walmart, etc. Because if you do, manufacturers will refuse to honor the warranty. Buy from licensed places like salon, licensed professional beauty stores like Folica.com, Ulta.com, West Coast Beauty Supply Inc. etc.

What's the best hair straightener (sp?)?

Sedu is the best thing that has ever happened to my hair. I have fine extremely curly hair, that frizzes up to a big afro with the first sign of humidity. It takes me over an hour to blow dry my hair straight. And I have to put all kinds of product in it. Then I have to do a hair wrap to keep it smooth. I have tried everything, including Thermal Reconditioning which worked great, until all my hair started to break and fall off. Every time I comed my hair, my bathroom floor looked like a rug. Not to mention, I still had to spend an hour blowdrying my hair. It just didn't frizz afterwards. After endind up with a third less hair and a bold spot in front of my head, it was clear I would not do that to my hair again.

With Sedu, my hair is perfectly straigh, with no frizz, and increadible shine. When I first got it, I had washed my hair 2 days before and had put it up on a braid. When I let my hair down it had dried up into this curly frizzy mess. I was able to make it pin straigh with very little effort, and best of all, whithout any blow-drying. It looked the same way as when I got the Bio-ionic treatment done. One thing, if it doesn't work for you, you might need to make the temperature hotter. I straighten all my hair out, when I realized I could make the iron hotter. That's when my hair turned into a dream come true. When my sister saw my hair, she told me, she wanted a Sedu for X-mas. I actually got mine a week ago. I took it on a 3 day trip to the keys (Florida)and had beautiful straight hair the whole time. I just did it again today, and was turning heads everywhere. I'm I glad I didn't get that $350 bio-ionic flat iron. Take it from the most critical people in the world (my sister and I) Sedu is awesome!!! get one. It is worth every penny and more.

The main difference between Sedu and CHI is: you can adjust temperature on Sedu, while the temp is fixed on CHI, it may fried your hair if your hair is thin.

Sedu is the best flat iron out there!

Hair Straightener and Straightening Cream?

I am going to Ulta today to get a hair straightener. Should I go ahead and buy a straightening cream with it? If so, which one would be best? I have VERY curly, frizzy hair.

Hair Straightener and Straightening Cream?

Definitely buy cream/serum/product to go with your straightener! If you flat iron your hair with no product your hair will split and break off over time. You also won't get as smooth of a result.

I recommend using Biosilk hair serum after towel drying your hair, then blow dry, then spray with Straight-Sexy-Hair straightnening spray (it's like a spray-starch for hair, the iron will go over it smoothly - it's awesome!) and then iron straight. I'm a stylist and I always recommend those to my clients.

If you can't get those particular products - get something - anything! If not your hair will fry. Good luck!

Hair Straightener and Straightening Cream?

John Frieda frizz ease with heat protector, its new Its really good.

Kerastase S鑼卹um Ol鑼卭-Relax 125ml

Smoothing Serum to discipline fine dry, frizzy, unmanageable hair (bigger bottle) its amazing!

also Phytodefrisant relaxing balm - its like a soft-gel-serum. great stuff

Always make sure u have heat protector before using any heated styler!

Hair Straightener and Straightening Cream?

btw if u want heat protection get tresemme it smells gd and protects hair good by for only 鎷?

Hair straightener problems!?

Hey, I have recently bought a $30 straightener from K-mart and I realised that after about 30 mins my hair isnt straight no more.

I see girls with perfectly straightened hair and wonder how they do it. Any help please?? =)

Hair straightener problems!?

hello there! i would love to help you cuz i used to have this problem ok well if you want really straight hair your gonna have to get a profesh flat iron so the 30$ one isnt gonna do you much good some irons that are good are made by babyliss, chii, or couriouless there are other kinds that are good asweel also your gonna have to spend over 150 to get the results you want

good luck!!

oh by the way you can buy these at hair salons

Hair straightener problems!?

try a light hairspray or a straightening serum! you may be trying to straighten too much hair at one time also...do small sections...good luck!!

Hair straightener problems!?

oh, i had the exact same problem. I have 3 straighteners ranging from 30 dollars to 50 dollars. If you want perfectly straightened hair, you need a good straightener. Try a CHI...I know, they're expensive, but don't keep buying cheap straighteners. THey waste money. Also, put in a hair serum afterwards. Any kind will do. Like something to weigh it down with. Also, after you get out of the shower, blow dry it with a comb. It naturally straightens it. But my best advice? get a GOOD straightener. Oh yeah, to curly legs, it does NOT need to be more than 150 dollars! You can get good ones on sale. Make sure they're more than..say...80 dollars. She doesn't know what she's talking about, she spelled the brands wrong.

Hair straightener problems!?

they probably have lifeless hair naturally. since hair straighteners have been invented its been the perfect disguise for those girls. whenever it gets really humid and my hair gets a bit wavy i always smile to myself cos to me its a sign that my hair has life!

so when your worried about those girls with 'perfectly straight hair' just remember that little tidbit, its a great confidence booster.

Hair straightener problems!?

thts cuz u mite b straightnin wet hair... try it wid COMPLETELY dry hair... and hold the irons down on the ends for longer(widout burnin the ends)... it'll wrk..

Hair straightener problems!?

first of all you should buy a GOOD hair straightener

i know some are pretty expensive but it's worth it

in the end because they last a longer time as opposed to

buying a cheap hair straightener that you'll have to replace

in a couple of months

what you need to do is blow dry your hair straight first

and then straighten it

but if you don't want to blow dry it just by a good straightening cream or serum and put that in your hair before you straighten it

Hair straightener problems!?

most of them is natural other blow it out with a round brush and then flat iron it

Hair straightener problems!?

I think you know the answer before you sent this question in. If you want good hair straigheners them you need better quality ones. I have straight hair but when i wash it , it becomes a bit frizzy (jUst a bit) so i use jodie straigheners (you can get them on ebay) they are very much like ghd but at a fraction of the cost. At the price they are worth a try... Brfore i bought them i just used remington. I always found them to be really good too....... Good luck

Hair straightener problems!?

I had the same problem..easy soulation..

Straighten ur hair in small sections. While straightining use serlum on ur hair to prevent it from drying out and when u done spray hairspray on a brush and brush your hair..do this a few times and ur hair will be straight for hours.

Hair straightener problems!?

buy ghd's

Hair straightener question??

my hair straightener has a little comb on the inside of it but my friend's doesnt. if you know what i mean- which works better- straightener w/ comb in it or w/ out? thx!

Hair straightener question??

Both will ruin your hair if you don't protect it with the lotions and potions available. Most straighteners don't have combs, because everyone knows that you should comb the section of hair through that you are straightening. I guess you could say, yours is doing that as you go along......but I would say if you came across some tangles - your straighteners will be on the hair too long, causing more damage not to mention the combination of those little teeth with the excess heat.

Hair straightener question??

I had one of those but the comb broke D:

I say the comb. But theres not much of a diffrence.

Hair straightener question??

I would say a straightener WITHOUT a comb inside would work better. I personally own a Chi flat iron and it's the best investment I've ever made! It works wonderfully and is nothing like the other cheaper irons out there. Unfortunately Chi irons are a little more on the expensive side, but it's well worth it :)

Hair straightener question??

honestly, i dont think it makes that much of a difference. The only difference i could say would be that with the comb it takes a little longer bc it's brushing %26amp; straigtening %26amp; also it may make your hair a llittle smoother, mine has one but it's removable so i just took it off.

Hair straightener question??

i dont know u decide which one works better for YOUR hair

What type of HAIR STRAIGHTENER will be good for my hair? HAS PICTURES OF MY HAIR.?

Straightening your hair (or curling) will always damage it. Its unavoidable, but if you use a heat protectant spray, the damage can be lessened.

Your hair isn't very curly, so I don't think you should go all out and buy a CHI. I think a simple Conair hair straightener would work well. They're mostly in the 15-25 dollar range, so they're pretty affordable.

What type of HAIR STRAIGHTENER will be good for my hair? HAS PICTURES OF MY HAIR.?

okkkkk

no straightener

all straighteners ruin ur hair

use redken (a product name for hair)after you shower and then you can blow dry it. it looks like you straightened it but you didnt. good for your hair too. you can but it in ulta walmart or target

What type of HAIR STRAIGHTENER will be good for my hair? HAS PICTURES OF MY HAIR.?

Actually, i have a CHI and it works really well without damaging my hair because i have this Tresseme heat protective stuff (it comes in a black bottle) and it helps my hair stay healthy and shiny. Prices, i kno chi's are really expensive but i found a website called folica that has them for about 80 dollars. I think it is so expesive because it doesnt damage your hair like the cheap ones do. Also, it will last you a long time so think of it as an invesment and just try it out.

What type of HAIR STRAIGHTENER will be good for my hair? HAS PICTURES OF MY HAIR.?

Hey girl!! I'm also 13 and i straighten my hair almost everyday, its not that dry because I use protect-ant sprays and moisturizing shampoo + conditioner. But if ur looking for a hair straightener for ur wavy hair type, I recommend you use any ceramic tile, flattening iron from Conair. I have insanely curley hair but my straightener makes it so silky and pin straight. That one is the best and it straightens hair so fast!! They are not hard to find, they work great and they are not pricey at all! But when you iron ur hair ALWAYS ALWAYS make sure that you use a heat protect-ant spray (i recommend the one from nexus this one works well). And always make sure you soak ur hair in conditioner in the shower if ur gonna straighten it alot!!

Hope i helped!!

Cheap hair straightener that doesn't damage hair?

I need a cheap hair straightener that doesn't damage your hair.

-that doesn't need spray or gel

-that will straighten fast

-and make my hair silky.

Cheap hair straightener that doesn't damage hair?

Revlon. But you need to use a spray to protect your hair from heat.

Cheap hair straightener that doesn't damage hair?

there is no such thing. =(

Cheap hair straightener that doesn't damage hair?

i dont know how cheap you want it, but ceramic is the safest to use on your hair and heat up in as little as 30 seconds.

Cheap hair straightener that doesn't damage hair?

Umm.

I highly doubt that you will ever find one.

Heat is heat and it WILL damage your hair.

As for the sliky and smooth part;

Get a chi or a gvp.

I got mine for only $70 at Sally's

Cheap hair straightener that doesn't damage hair?

try EasyStraight, a 1-week straighter that will not damage hair. Walgreens or Ebay.

Relaxer or hair straightener?

I have curly (kinky) hair. I want to get it straightened permanantly but not very sure about it. Acutally I am toying between permanant hair straightening and relaxers. I got the hair straightened in Japanese style before but I didn't like the poker straight look.

How does hair look when relaxer is used? Can I wear it down? What is the level of damage caused with straightener and relaxer.

Has anyone got the curly hair relaxed and how do you feel about it?

Thanks in Advance.

Relaxer or hair straightener?

Funny how we always want the opposite of what we have. I have straight hair and would loooove to have curly hair.

At any rate, I hope you will rethink your desire for straight hair--relaxers and other chemical processes always, always damage your natural hair. Plus, the chemicals can be dangerous to your health. I'm just wondering if there is a better alternative for you, like maybe a different hairstyle or haircut that is flattering and suitable for your face.

I am guessing that you may be black from your hair description. I don't have a lot of experience with that type of hair, but quite a lot of the ladies (and some men) on the message boards at http://www.longhaircommunity.com can give you really good advice on how to make the best of the hair you have. It's geared, obviously, towards growing long hair but the information you get there can be applied to any length of hair. Another really good message board is The Hair Care Family, http://s7.invisionfree.com/the_hair_care...

but I'm not sure how many black people post there; you might get more pertinent information at the first place (though the second place has nicer people imo). Best of all may be http://www.naturallycurly2.com/home/inde...

Good luck; I hope you find something you like.

Relaxer or hair straightener?

I have curly hair, and a hair straightener works well for me! Chi's are the best though!

Relaxer or hair straightener?

Relax your hair you only have to do it once a month but be warned IT HURTS I just did it and i have a burn on the side of my head and all the harir fell out so do it professionally if you have longer than shoulder lentgh and yes if well done you can wear it down and it looks nice

Relaxer or hair straightener?

well this season is more about going for natural look so bye bye silky hair hello to the waves and curs also bones are so so on fashion so forget about the silky look and try the wavy one ;)

Relaxer or hair straightener?

i have hair like that and have not found no straightners that work. i straighten my hair every two days and i use a blowdryer and curling iron and it lasts antil i wash my hair again.

Relaxer or hair straightener?

I have curly/kinky hair too. For a long time I hated my hair and wished I had straight hair. But now that I'm older I've learned to appreciate my curls and like the option of having it straightened temporarily or wearing it curly. It seems like you're unsure of what you really want to do with your hair, so I suggest that you don't apply any chemicals to your hair yet.

I've used relaxers in the past and they've really damaged my hair. I suggest visiting a Ouidad salon (I'm not sure where you reside but if you look on-line you may find a location near you). They taught me how to tame my hair so I can feel comfortable wearing it curly and they have "hair softeners" which can loosen up your curls since you don't like the pin straight look. Good Luck...I know how challenging curly hair can be...!

Relaxer or hair straightener?

hey...wel i tried the japanese one as well n didnt like my hair flat as well...

neway if u want PERMANENT...go for MATRIX permanent str8in... they use ions n change the protein in your hair forever n make it tr8...havent tried so cnt say

but recently i got the 6 months straightening n used the compnay KADUS...it was comparatively cheaper n obviously kadus is good quality....i just told the hair stylist...i didnt want them totally flat so she washed my hair in 30 mins instead of 45-60 mins and plus...she reduced the concentration of some product for the front hair so that gave my hair volume and yeh i told her i didnt want my haie ends to be dead str8...so she turned (bent) the tips with her fingers and held it that way for a few mins... n i love my hair now...i get the blow dry effect everyday! n yeh kadus aint that damaging to your hair..

i would advise u consult a hair stylist first and tell them all that ur looking for...so they do i the way u want them to be

n yeh! do not go for relaxers..they make your hair look dry n frizzy

hope that helps u

Relaxer or hair straightener?

Why don't you try an anti-curl by Rusk? You have to have it done professionally, but it doesn't straighten it all the way.

Relaxer or hair straightener?

Relax

Relaxer or hair straightener?

If you're tender-scalped, then a relaxer just won't do (but I'm saying that because the hair stylists I worked with never listened to me when I was complaining about my scalp burning after only a few minutes).

My personal experience with having my hair relaxed had to due w/lots of burning (imagine your hair getting dried onto a scalp that's trying to scab up and heal itself...painful separating the hair from the damaged scalp...and it takes about a week or two before it does successfully scab and heal w/o the hair getting caught in the process), and the hair falling out after I decided not to torture myself for straighter hair and have gone the natural way since.

Have you tried just constantly having your hair in braids? Depending on who you go to, it could be costly, but it's low maintenence, and the hair's guaranteed to grow (unless someone tries to yank it from the roots).

Relaxer or hair straightener?

hair straighter. relaxers are not good for your hair.

Asian hair straightener help please?

I have soft, fine hair, although it's not thin, it's really not thick either. I'm afraid that buying a hair straightener will damage it, or that it will look flat and deflated. Should I buy a straightener? Any idea which one?

Asian hair straightener help please?

OMGGGG BUY CHI. its simply the best it damages the least in the world! because of the ceramic plates and how well it works, youll soon understand why its known as one the best and most recommenede hair straighteners in the world. it hardly damages hair! hope this helps%26lt;3

Asian hair straightener help please?

ORGANIC ROOT STIMULATOR OLIVE OIL RELAXER (NORMAL) IS THE BEST. IT WILL NOT LEAVE HAIR FLAT %26amp; OVERPROCESSED. IT IS AVIALBALE AT MOST DRUGSTORES. IT COMES IN A GREEN BOX. MAKE SURE TO WASH IT OUT COMPLETELY. :)

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

Against my better judgement, I have just purchased a cermaic hair straightener to help tame my unruly hair. I know that these heat-producing products have many negative effects on your hair, and I am wondering what are some good tips to help minimize the damage.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

Buy a flat-iron spray. I use the matrix one and love it. This not only protects your hair from the negative effects of a ceramic hair straightener, but it also helps your hair to straighten more quickly. Another thing you can do to prevent damage is to always make sure that your hair is completely, 100% dry before you start to straighten it. Straightening wet hair causes tons of damage.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

use it less often and make sure its REALLY HOT so you just have to go over the strand once

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

try garnier hair serum. put it on your ends to lock up moisture.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

you must get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks, and CONDITION, with good stuff. I recommend Redkens All Soft Conditioner; you can leave it on for a few hours. I do it on Sunday when I閳ユ獡 cleaning house. You just need to keep up with your hair and you閳ユ獟l be fine.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

condition your hair a lot, deep condition using a hair mask or plain deep conditioning treatment once a week, and use a heat styling tools protective spray on your hair each time you use it. OH, my friends do this a lot: no matter what anyone says, NEVER use an iron on wet hair. that's asking for split ends. also use maybe an anti frizz or dry hair shampoo.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

Use a really good heat protectant spray/conditioner.

This one is my favorite:

http://tresemme.com/heat/products/heat-t...

It doesn't make your hair greasy and it smells so good while smoothing and shining your hair!

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

Use a good shampoo.

Use a good conditioner.

Or, use a 2-in-1.

[Daily]

Good luck. 閳?br>The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

start with the lowest setting on the straitener. if that doesn't work turn it up one setting. try using the lowest amount of heat possible. and if you have a beauty supply store in your are purchase a product called 2000 calarie conditioner. It's a deep conditioner you can use once or twice a week to help repair any damage you might cause. will help keep your hair health.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

it works good but only the ones from the mall.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

Use some hair protection when using heat stylers. Some serums can be found at the drugstore. Most say that it's for protection against heated style tools, etc. They work really well! And try to not straighten your hair at least one day a week to give it a break from heat.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

Any form of heat is damaging to your hair. The best thing to do if you use heat (hair dryer, straightner, curling iron) Is to apply a leave in conditioner of some sort or styling agent. I use 24/7 Straightening cream from Sunsilk. Also a second little tip if you are worried about split ends from damage. Before you wash your hair apply conditioner to the ends of dry hair. Then go about you regular showering routine.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

The best way to keep from damaging your hair is keeping your hair properly moisturized. Try using a heat activated conditioner. Try not to use excessive heat, most ceramic flat irons have a temperature gage don't use more heat then necessary. And my last piece of advise is to regularly clip all split ends in order to prevent further damage.

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

always use a thermal straightening spray ... is sprayed on hair to protect the hair cuticle from the heat damage.... a good 1 id Regis thermal straighting spray... go to any salon and ask.......... do not buy the stuff at wal-mart etc... to much alcohol in them they just dry our your hair more... Good luck

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

you need to condition you hair make sure your hair is completely dry before straighting it and bye a heat protectant also don't put too many products in your hair at once your hair will greasy and won't have any body.

Hoped I helped!

The best way to avoid damage and still use a ceramic hair straightener?

use a creme to moisturize and hydrate the hair. i use Sunsilk Straighten up 24/7 creme

Looking for a good hair straightener.Possible BED HEAD?

well right now i have a really cheap straightener that straightens my hair at first then two minutes later starts to curl. So now i'm looking for a good quality straightener that will keep my hair super straight all day! I'm leaning towards the new BED HEAD straightener but i'm not sure if it will work or if it will damage my hair! Does anyone own a BED HEAD straightener(i think the one that lights up) or if they know of a good brand please give me some advice Thanks!

Looking for a good hair straightener.Possible BED HEAD?

try the hot tools straighteners...they are about $50 and made my hair sooo soft and straight! i tried it for the first time yesterday. and don't go with the sedu. if you go to folica.com, there are alot of positive reviews for it, but i heard people got paid to do them and the real people said they weren't that great. but go to follica.com and see all the great flat irons!

Looking for a good hair straightener.Possible BED HEAD?

No Hon, Go with CHI. Well worth the money!

Looking for a good hair straightener.Possible BED HEAD?

Nope,

Don't get bedhead or chi, i've done research.

Chi's break/fry hair.

Go with the Sedu, I own it and it's silky smooth %26amp; not as damaging.

Looking for a good hair straightener.Possible BED HEAD?

go with chi! get the light blue ionic one cuz it leaves more moisture in your hair instead of totally drying it out. i luv mine! have a spectacular day!!! :)

Looking for a good hair straightener.Possible BED HEAD?

I'm a hairdresser and the best straighteners to use are GHD's which stand for good hair days. Which is exactly what you'll got. There fantastic, poker straight finish! Work on any type of hair, even african/afro They range from 鎷?0-鎷?50 but there excellent quality. And the best thing is... they come in pink!

Looking for a good hair straightener.Possible BED HEAD?

revlon straighteners are amazing! they make your hair really soft

Looking for a good hair straightener.Possible BED HEAD?

Cheap Straightners Are Horrible. Its Better To Invest In Some Expensiver One This Way They'll Last And Leave Your Hair Looking Great.

I Have The New GHD Stylers Which Are Amazing Well Worth Every Penny And Can Create Various Different Styles (:

Looking for a good hair straightener.Possible BED HEAD?

Cheap straighteners don't do anything for you and are just a waste of money and time!

Don't buy a Chi! They break, fry, and damage your hair, and Chi's usually break after about one year! I reccomend a Sedu which are lighter and smaller than a Chi and make your hair shiny and straight without snagging it! The best part about Sedu's is that you can change the temperature. On Chi's it's set at about 400 degrees which will definitely ruin your hair! The Sedu is a bit pricy, but it lasts a long time and makes your hair smooth and straight without damaging it!

Any recommendations for an inexpensive hair straightener and/or straightening tips?

For question one:

I have had my Conair, 1/2 inch straightener for about a year now. It is getting worn, and it doesn't work especially well, so I am in the market for a new straightener. I would like to try a different one this time, and I am looking for suggestions. Please keepi in mind I would rather not get a straightener that costs over $50 dollars, and I would prefer to not spend more than $40.

And question 2:

Does anyone have any tips to help me straighten my very hard to straighter hair? Do you have a trick that makes straightening thick hair easier, or some kind of product that helps hair stay straightened longer? After spending atleast 25 minutes straightening my hair until it's nearly pin straight, I go to school, go into the bathroom, and find out that my beautiful once straight hair is now rather curly. Ugh!

Any help would be much appreciated! ^_^

Any recommendations for an inexpensive hair straightener and/or straightening tips?

I have thick hair too. Make sure you give the straightener time to warm up ( I let it warm up while I eat breakfast about 10-15 minutes). When straightening your hair divide it in half and do each side separately. Start from the back and work your way forward. Then do all the hair that shows most of the day again. If you want to be sure that it will stay straight longer let your hair cool and do a quick 5 minute re-straight over some of your hair.

Any recommendations for an inexpensive hair straightener and/or straightening tips?

I live in a border city and got a great deal on an onyx "WIGO" brand flat iron. Works wonders.

Any recommendations for an inexpensive hair straightener and/or straightening tips?

well i got my jilbere straightener at sally beauty on sale for $40 and it is great! its ceramic and porceline and works very well, as for the problem of your staight hair curling us Garnier fructuis 12 hour anti humidity hair spray as well as a straightening shapoo and conditioner and a striaghtenin cream or balm. it really does work!

Any recommendations for an inexpensive hair straightener and/or straightening tips?

You can get a relatively inexpensive flatiron from any Sally Beauty Supply store, remember to use it at it's hottest for the best results. As for keeping it straight and protecting it from the heat (which you ALWAYS ALWAYS must do before you apply ANY heat source to your hair) I recommend the flatiron spray from Chi, that you'll need to go to a salon for, I don't know of any generic ones... Use a leave in conditioner or a smoothing serum first on towel dried hair, section hair and pull taut with a paddle brush while blowdrying, spray each section with the Chi spray and run the flatiron through. I believe the spray is humudity resistant, which might be your problem if it springs back after flatironing.

Any recommendations for an inexpensive hair straightener and/or straightening tips?

inexpensive: wet to straight conair.

expensive: chi. (i have had one for two yrs and love it. the best investment yet. but it is kind of pricy but worth it)

tips for straightening: flip hair over to straighten then once you think it is straight enough flip back over and straighten the front pieces some more. also try clipping sections of your hair so you can do the lower layers first.

Any recommendations for an inexpensive hair straightener and/or straightening tips?

There are straightening shampoo and conditioner at the store just choose one that will suit your taste or try them all which one is applicable to your hair. It might give some help to straighten your hair. Use also shampoo that soften your hair. It's advisable to use separate shampoo and conditioner if your using blower or flat iron every time. It will somehow protect your hair strand.

Any recommendations for an inexpensive hair straightener and/or straightening tips?

GO TO THE MALL GIRL! sometimes when u walk around in those little booths they have things like that, once i saw the perfect thing for you put i forgot the name brand :( im so sorry but maybe you can find it in your loval mall ( most likely i think its getting pretty popular ) and the best poart is i remembering it being under 50$!

Any recommendations for an inexpensive hair straightener and/or straightening tips?

ok, try CHI its amazing, its not that cheap its around 150 bucks but it works GREAT.

for thick hair put the outside layer of hair in a big hairclip and flat iron that first then take it out of the clip and flat iron that layer.

Can a hair straightener fix this?

Okay...so basically my hair sux. It's sort of straight, EXTREMELY frizzy and I hate it. The hair straightener that I have right now is a Revlon and straightens my hair, but leaves it looking like this: (my face is blured for obvious reasons)

http://s52.photobucket.com/albums/g38/Wi...

And after it dries when I get out of the shower it looks like this no matter how much I comb it:

http://s52.photobucket.com/albums/g38/Wi...

So can a hair strightener fix my horrible hair? And can it make it stick stright and NOT frizzy?

Can a hair straightener fix this?

omg WOW, ok start of with a good shampoo %26amp; conditioner, i would try catwalk, bedhead, matrix, all that good stuff (get these at a profession salon.) its expensive but def. worth it. after you've washed %26amp; conditioned it put paul mitchel super skinny serum in your hair. then blow dry it straight with a nice blowdryer (a cheap one will kill your hair %26amp; fry it). after drying your hair, clip up half your hair (like a half ponytail) and straighten the under layer w/ a CHI straighting iron. (using a cheap iron with kill your hair, making it worse than it is now, stay away from conair, revlon, %26amp; other NONprofessional products) after straightening the under layer do the top layer. to reduce frying your hair make sure your hair is completely dry when straightening. also try putting layers in your hair %26amp; getting it cut about 2 1/2- 3 inches below the shoulder or shorter so you don't have as much to deal with. i hope i helped. if you have any more questions feel free to email me @ kayla_yerkes@yahoo.com.

Can a hair straightener fix this?

No. A straightener will damage your hair completely until your hair will break. Instead, opt for a relaxer or thermal straightener.

Can a hair straightener fix this?

Your need to be using a heat guard prior to flat ironing as well as smoothing serum after to maintain the effect.Go to your local beauty supply store!!!**** Luck!!

Can a hair straightener fix this?

Use a Chi, anf Frizzease..works for me=]

Can a hair straightener fix this?

awe-sweetie, i understand-i look like the cowardly lion after i blow dry , try paul mitchel super skinny shampoo conditioner and serum

Can a hair straightener fix this?

yes. definetly. the best and cheapest one that i know is this one:

http://www.conair.com/infiniti-instant-h...

also, i heard that hte remington wet2straight is pretty good.

Can a hair straightener fix this?

If a hair staightener cant fix it get it layered in lots of different lengths then straighten it and it should straighten.

Can a hair straightener fix this?

You should go see a stylist. Firstly I would recommend some layers to thin out some of the bulk and give it an actual style. Secondly, yes a quality hair straightener combined with some anti-frizz smoothing product, and your hair could be lovely! Be thankful that you have nice thick hair - its easy to have it thinned out to suite you, the opposite is not so true. ;)

Can a hair straightener fix this?

yeah it can fix it...

i suggest getting an anti-frizz serium and running alittle of it through your hair when it is wet. once it drys flat iron your hair, and it will look amazing!

Can a hair straightener fix this?

You can use a frizz serum and you can buy a ceramic straightener. Ceramic ones work better, and I had the revlon one before... gold plates right? ... well my ceramic one works really well. A chi is the best one to have... but who doesn't love cheap prices!?! The frizz serum I use is Dove smoothing Frizz Control. It's a white bottle with a blue top and it works well.

Can a hair straightener fix this?

i think if you bought an expensive straightner it will work

Can a hair straightener fix this?

Using a hair straightener will over time make your problem much worse by damaging your hair and creating split ends, a better idea would be to buy a hair product like 'Frizz Ease' or another product for reducing frizz. Most grocery stores and pharmacys will have inexpensive hair products for any problem you have with your hair.

Can a hair straightener fix this?

of course. i have a CHI and it workss soooo great. its quite expensive and if you dont feel like spending the money make sure the straightner is ceramic. not metal.cerimac gets reallyy hot and will flatten your hair guarenteed. i would suggest going to the salon and asking the person to thin it out. that will make it eaiser. ask what products will be good for frizzy hair. i love bumble and bumble products alot.

Can a hair straightener fix this?

yes just get a chi for about $140 from JCP salon

Can a hair straightener fix this?

That's exactly what my hair used to do. I started to straighten it every day, and ended up causing even more problems - I straightened it so much that I broke the hair where my fringe was and I had bits sticking up uncontrolably like the scene with the spunk from Something About Mary. I would say don't over straighten it, i.e only do it a couple of times a week. I would try using Frizz Ease hair rescue, that should calm it down a bit. I use it twice a week and leave it on for 15 mins and that works wonders : )

Can a hair straightener fix this?

I have the same problem with my hair %26amp; this is what I've done to help correct it. While my hair is wet I apply a frizz eliminator by Silky Sexy Hair %26amp; then blow it dry. Before I use a straightener I spritz on a flat iron hair serum by Osis. It leaves my hair staight %26amp; smooth like I want, but it's also very soft %26amp; doesn't feel dry. I've also learned that it's important to use a flat iron that heats up to about 400*F instead of some that only go to 200*F. The reason: Hair gets damaged %26amp; breaks due to the length of time it is exposed to heat. If you use a lower temp iron for longer on your hair, it will cause more damage than using a higher temp iron for shorter amounts of time.

Can a hair straightener fix this?

A hair straightener will make your hair frizzier, buy a shampoo, conditioner and leave in creme or serum to protect your hair from frizz.

Trying to curl my hair with a straightener, not working, please help...?

Ok, so I'm trying to curl my hair using a ceramic hair straightener (low quality about $40, 2 inches, up to 200 degrees). My hair is naturally slightly wavy and comes about two inches below my shoulders. So I take a section, clamp it in the straighteners, then 'turn' the straightener once towards my head. Then, I try to pull down. But I can't -- my hair is kind of 'stuck' since I wrapped it once around the straightener, so I can't pull down. Does anyone understand what I'm saying? Help!!!

Trying to curl my hair with a straightener, not working, please help...?

How to Curl Your Hair With a Hair Straightener

http://homebeautytips.blogspot.com/2007/...

Trying to curl my hair with a straightener, not working, please help...?

The curling iron definately has to be a rounded shape in order for it to curl right. All you have to do is take the hair as though you were about to flat iron it at the root...then take the ends and flip it over the iron while twisting the flat iron and pulling it down the hair strands. and you still might need to twist the hair with your fingers when you complete the curl. and remember to spray it with hair spray afterwards.

Trying to curl my hair with a straightener, not working, please help...?

first off, that flat iron is way too wide to curl. the flat irons that curl are at the most one inch wide. with a smaller one, all you do is clamp it around your hair, and wrap it up like you would a curling iron, let it sit for a minute or two, then unravel it. don't pull on it, you're using a flat iron-which is meant to straighten and that's exactly what it's going to do if you do that.

Which hair straightener is best?

I need to buy new hair straightners. Which do you think are better and why?

Remmington Wet 2 Straight or Remington Teflon Fabric Hair Straightener S2003?

I want to protect my hair as much as possible but achieve good straight results on fine but frizzy wavy hair.

Thanks! x

Which hair straightener is best?

wet 2 straight - they will save you the time of drying your hair

Which hair straightener is best?

GHD - they are THE BEST! Worth every penny too...

Which hair straightener is best?

I haven't tried either of those, but I swear by my GHD's. I know they're a lot more expensive, but they really are worth it.

Which hair straightener is best?

GHD of course

Which hair straightener is best?

I actually have a Sedu and it is wonderful. My best friend is a hair dresser and she says the wet to straight ones are really bad for your hair - they do a lot of damage. Ceramic straighteners are the best.

Which hair straightener is best?

ghd they are fab you can get them from any good hairdressers for 鎷?0 upwards

Which hair straightener is best?

I have curly hair that frizzes easily and have never found a chemical or heat straightener that did not damage it. My stylist agrees that chemical straighteners are very damaging no matter what you use. I've finally learned to accept my curly hair and found someone who knows how to cut it so it looks good. I also stopped washing it with shampoo and started washing it with rich connditioners - something my stylist suggested and is described in the book "Curly Girl" - something you should read. It gets completely clean, isn't greasy and it curls nicely but doesn't frizz. It took awhile for me to come to this place but I have learned to love my hair and now I get a lot of compliments on it that I never got when I was straightening it. Something to think about.

Which hair straightener is best?

I have wet to straight and they are rubbish, they leave my hair frizzy. I prefer to use my sister's GHD's, they are by far the best straightners. I know they are expensive but really are worth the investment.

Which hair straightener is best?

dont be a chav! they all look the same with straightened hair, black underneath with bleached blonde on top!!!!

anyway so LAST YEAR

Which hair straightener is best?

GHD's without a doubt!

Which hair straightener is best?

a goood hair straighttner is well i got the nicky clark ones they so good becuase i got frizzy hair and it controls my hair well

Which hair straightener is best?

you can use any one because they are good but you must take care of your hair by put refreshment for your hair and clean it with shampoo.so you can have a straight hair

or

you can use ciramicstaightener and use the gold water to make it very staight .....trust me .....you will be like a model if you use it.

Which hair straightener is best?

I have multiple friends with Wet 2 Straight, and I'm not trying to be mean, but their hair looks like crap. I'm sure straightening it when it's wet is probably horrible for your hair, and they don't work. I've never used, nor do I do anyone who has used the Deflon Fabric Hair Straightener S2003, but if my other choice was Wet 2 Straight, I'd choose that.

However, if you're willing to spend around $100, and you REALLY want straight hair, get a CHI. They work amazingly. That's what I have, and I have wavy-curly hair. They heat up in a minute, and they have a lot of styles you can choose from. From wide iron- to skinny iron. From pink to purple, to red with rhinestones, you can pretty much get anything, and they last FOREVER!

Which hair straightener is best?

Remmington would be the best i think but i'd suggest GHD's

Which hair straightener is best?

babyliss pro i think are the next best to ghd.

Which hair straightener is best?

invest in GHD'S they are the absolute best and are worth that little bit extra

Which hair straightener is best?

GHD's are the best hair straightener EVER especially if you want to tame your frizziness. They are quite pricey but are def worth every penny. You'll get your hair bone straight in half the time then cheaper hair straighteners.

Go to www.ghdhair.com for more info and you can purchase them there aswell.

Which hair straightener is best?

I wouldn't recommend R- wet 2 straight as you have frizzy hair,

because you wouldn't achieve shinny straight hair.

Also the plates might be quite wide which enables you to straighten the roots of your hair.

As for the other straightener Ive never heard of it so not to sure.

GHD is the best straightener, as it is used in all hair-salons.

If buying from a hair-salon you can buy products that will help your hair from getting split ends+ damage the condition of your hair.

Although GHD is expensive it will last longer than others which are ranged from 鎷?0- 鎷?5.

Which hair straightener is best?

I would recommend using Solano Sapphire flat irons or CHI flat irons.

I have a Sapphire mini straightener and it's the best flat iron I've owned.

Which hair straightener is best?

Hardcore Hair Straightener?

My cousin said that she had a friend who had a hair straightener that said "Hardcore" on the plate. I'm not sure if it said hXc or hardcore. Does anyone know if there's a hair straightener that's like that?

Hardcore Hair Straightener?

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.

In terms of performance - The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD.

Hardcore Hair Straightener?

Sedu works great for my THICK, FRIZZY hair. it is the only iron that let my hair stay straight for days even in high humidity (new york city).

Best hair straightener??

I was looking at the CHI straightener and was hearing good reviews about it... is it good? Is it better then Sedu? I have long coarse thick frizzy hair that even goes poofy after I straighten.. I dunno if Im using the wrong straightener! Which CHI would you recommend for my hair?

Best hair straightener??

I have the same kind of hair as you.

I use a CHI straightener and it's amazing!

My hair is super puffy after I shower

Then I straighten and then it gets a lot smaller in volume!

If you have a good shampoo %26amp; conditioner

You hair will feel rly smoothe %26amp; thin at the same time.

Blow dry, but leave a little bit of moisture

Then straighten, then put serum or hairgel =]]

Best hair straightener??

CHI is definitely the best I've used, I have a 1 inch. Friends of mine who have super curly hair also use this and rave about it, they have a 2 inch. If you are willing to invest about 100 bucks (some are cheaper on eBay) I would really recommend a CHI straightener! The size just depends on the length of your hair and personal preference - for shorter go for a 1inch, longer hair either 1 or 2 inch works well. Good luck!

Best hair straightener??

I have one for sell on ebay that I am really tring to get rid of because I got two for my b-day but I only need one! It works great! It is brand new and never been used!

Just copy and paste the link!

Best hair straightener out there??

i have a remington wet-2-straight and it straightens my hair perfectly flat but leaves me with split ends and as soon as i go outside (i live in FL) it turns really poofy and wavy...whats the best hair straightener out there thatll keep my hair straight and healthy looking?...i have very thick wavy/curly hair...thanks!

Best hair straightener out there??

It's not a matter of what straightener, it's a matter of how-to. Since you said your straightener works perfect until you go outside, try a conditioned mousse. It will not only condition your hair and help fight against split-ends, but it will also hold your style!

Any old mousse will do. I use Suave and Aussie brands. (I alternate between brands so that my tempermental hair doesn't grow too used to one brand... and it's been working for a little over a year now for me!)

Best hair straightener out there??

Try olive oil soak, or try aloe vera gel, both are great

Best hair straightener out there??

the chi straight iron

Best hair straightener out there??

I agree with Jenna, the CHI flat iron is the best one out there. It gets up to 245 degrees which is about 30 degrees hotter than normal professional irons. It is made of 34 different types of ceramic which ensures a more refined ceramic (this equals less "hot spots" which cause major damage which leads to split ends). It uses a lower wattage, as well. However, using styling products will help with your poofy prob. Try a flat iron spray like Matrix Smoothing's Iron Smoother. Just spray it in your hair before you flat iron. Then, when you've finished spray hairspray into the palms of your hands and smooth it over your strands from root to ends. This also gets rid of those little hairs that stick out.

Best hair straightener out there??

I cant realy give you a specific product but here are tips!!

This should help:

It seems that if we have straight hair, we want curly. If we have curly, we want it straight. Growing up in the seventies, we did everything we could to straighten our hair, even if it meant using the iron! Today, I am presenting you with an easier way to straighten your curls.

* Wash and condition hair.

* Blot dry. Hair should be almost dry when you begin.

* Gather up hair into several sections and secure or clip hair on top of your head. You will be drying the bottom layers first.

* Follow the brush (with your dryer) down the sections of hair as you straighten each section and be sure to keep the dryer moving.

* Take down a new section of hair and proceed as directed above.

* Work your way up the layers until all sections are dry and straightened.

* To curl the ends for a polished look, take your brush and pull the ends under. Finish your styling with a blast of cool air if your hairdryer has this capability.

What's the problem? the straightener or my hair?!?

I'm thinking about buying a new hair straightener. The thing is, I have the Remmington wet2straight wide, and I don't know if that's the problem. The problem might be my hair, but I doubt it.

My hair is really thick and frizzy and curly (picture: http://img465.imageshack.us/img465/5098/... )

when I straighten it, for the first 30 minutes its fine (picture: http://img439.imageshack.us/img439/5386/... )

But after that it gets frizzy and kinda poofy and starts to curl (picture: http://img128.imageshack.us/img128/9688/... )

What I want to know, is it my hair that's causing this, or the straightener? and what can I do to prevent it?

If It's my straightener, please state which straightener you use and what kind of hair you have. Thanks.

What's the problem? the straightener or my hair?!?

I know that they are expensive, but you should try a chi... they work.... really REALLY well. It is probably the straitener. not your hair. b/c i know a lot of people who have super curly hair and they can get it super straight... so yeah you should try a chi if you can afford it.....

What's the problem? the straightener or my hair?!?

i have thick wavy hair and it will not straighten no matter what i buy or where i go to have it chemically relaxed. it could just be your hair. sorry and i feel for you!

What's the problem? the straightener or my hair?!?

it's probably both. buy a straightener with a higher temperature. and use frizz-ease hair lotion. it works. then use hairspray.

What's the problem? the straightener or my hair?!?

I have curly hair, and have tried several things. Sometimes its the straightener.....its not always as good as it says it is. Or it could be that your hair is just really curly. I have had my hair straightened using those irons you buy at the store and only did a half way good job. Or it straightened it fine, just went back curly about an hour later. You can always try a professional straightening. If that dosent work, more than likely your hair just dosent agree with straightening.

What's the problem? the straightener or my hair?!?

It's definitely your straightener! I have extremely thick and curly hair and I decided to buy a straightener that I could use while my hair was still wet to save myself some time during my morning routine. I decided to buy the Remington wet2straight and within thirty minutes of straightening my hair, it turned into a giant frizz ball! Try using the ceramic series; they are fairly cheap and they work well. The only down side is that you can't use it while your hair is wet.

What's the problem? the straightener or my hair?!?

i have thick hair and ir is kindof curly and i ahve da soame problem but it is not da straightener but what i do is i go and gett some hair frizz stuff and it works for me but we have different kinds of hair but u can trie it is called -garnier fructis sleek and shine no frizz kk hope it helps u

What's the problem? the straightener or my hair?!?

It sounds like your hair isn't getting completely dry with the straightener. I'd try getting a new straightener and try getting one from Sally Beauty Supply. they sell to the public and to pros, but are more affordable than getting one from your stylist. The ones sold at drugs stores just don't seem to be hot enough or wear out quickly. I use a Conair Straightener at home and A pro one at work and there's a big difference.

Tip #2 would be that if you have finer hair it may tend to revert to waves and curls over the course of the day more than those with courser hair. In this case try using a product like Bead Head's Extra Extra Straight which helps straighten your hair and helps keep it straight despite humidity.

Try these tips and you should be in good shape.

Damaged from hair straightener?

i used Wella Hair straightener. At first i thought it was good. but after sometime my hair is dry IS looked Tangled and dry. Like some kind of spoiled hair. i am so sad now. what can i do to save it ? It's the red box one, it says For very curly and coarse hair but after i used it, it turn out to be WORST ALOtT. i couldn't imgaine. Can anyone save me. the hair looks DEAD

Damaged from hair straightener?

easy, shampoo and condition it. end of story.

Damaged from hair straightener?

you should use very good conditioner and leave it in for a long time. Or if you can spend a little money a lot of salons have conditioning "cocktails" that you go in and they put special conditioners in and then you sit in the heater...it's very good for your hair.

Damaged from hair straightener?

use a deep conditioner such as Garnier Fructis (it comes in a little round 'box') three to four times a week while normally shampooing and such. get a hair trim to get rid of any split ends and to give it a little more bounce. when you get out of the shower (when your hair is still wet) use a leave-in conditioner, and when it dries use a finishing creme. you may want to avoid using heat products for a little while or cut down on their use, but these tips work fine for me!

Damaged from hair straightener?

Cut your hair and use a lot of hot oil treatments. Do not use anymore chemicals on your hair and do not use any blow dryers and other hair straighteners as they will do just more damage.

Damaged from hair straightener?

Condition twice, if you don't already and try and find some hair oil or something like that to keep you hair... not dry. I use Biosilk. They sell it at Super Cuts, Costco, and a bunch of other hair places, like Sally's.

Damaged from hair straightener?

You'll need to give your hair an intensive treatment regularly until it grows again. Hairdressers have a separate set of products that they use - they're usually left on the hair for at least 10 minutes. You may be able to obtain a proper hair treatment (note it is different than a plain conditioner) from a good chemist or supermarket with an extensive hair care section. If you want to continue using a heated straightener you will have to incorporate a treatment into your hair care routine at least once a week.

Damaged from hair straightener?

stop using it right away and hot oil your hair at least once a week fir now so it will gain back the loss keratin but if you can find keratin emmulsion it is much better to use it as a hot oil

Damaged from hair straightener?

I swear by Nexxus Keraphix Reconstructor, I use it every time i wash my hair feels Silky and Soft and best of all i can comb though it when its wet ( Which i'm not supposed to do) it's part of the Moisturizing Line the Shampoo is Called Therappe and the Conditioner is called Humectress also try the Prosilk Digital Ceramic Flat iron which you can get @ www.prosilk.com i love it

Damaged from hair straightener?

Go get the thickest conditioner you can find and some clear disposable plastic hair caps. Wash your hair, slap the conditioner on it, slip the cap over it, heat the outside of the cap up a little with the hairdryer, and wrap your head in a towel. Stay like this for as long as possible. I used to sleep this way about once a week after a bad perm then straightening experience. Rinse it out and style as you normally would. You might also want to go to a salon and have them do a deep conditioning treatment regularly.

I don't know what race you are, but regardless, check out the aisle for black hair for the conditioner if you haven't already. They have some great products out there for black hair and some super conditioners.

Also, get your hair trimmed. Once hair is damaged, there's no real way to get it back to the way it was. Cut it to a length you can stand and keep getting it cut to that length until the damage is gone.

Best hair straightener out there....?

Ok I need a new straightener the one I have makes my hair all poofy. My friend has a Chi and we straightened my hair one day there and it works really well. I am looking into one but I want to know if there are any other good straighteners just as good as the Chi and could you list the price too please.

Best hair straightener out there....?

Well, chi is the best one out there and I know they start at like $70, but there is also some at the mall on the carts and those work really good too like Hairstyler and Corioliss.

Good luck xD

i think ghd are the best u can get but they are quite expensive about 鎷?50 but they are honestly worth it and they last for years : )

good luck

Best hair straightener out there....?

NO. DON'T. DON'T GET A HAIR STRAIGHTENER. THAT'S THE WORST THING YOU CAN DO TO YOUR HAIR. PLEASE, NO.

there's girls in our school, they straighten their hair every day . and what's the result of straightening your hair every day?

looking like you're balding. and you can tell so well when somebody's hair is totally burnt and ruined, and it doesn't look nice. hey, look, instead use gel to straighten i do that sometimes there's this really good weleda gel its not expensive and its 100% natural materials.

and besides, you don't want to blend in with the mold, do you? you want to be yourself and not change your hair or the way you look so that others think you're cool.

that's why i'm not popular but highly respected at school. i'm not afraid to be myself, and express my opinion. i dont go with the current fashion. i rebel.

Best hair straightener out there....?

CHI!!! it worked so good when i did ur hair that day =]] You can get mine 4 like $100. It went down since i got mine. Itz kinda a lot of money but it lasts 4 a long time =]]] i use it all the time.. it doesnt even damage ur hair like some do.. =]]
