Today I bought a Vidal Sassoon Gold Series Ion/Ceramic Steam Straightener and Multi-Styler(Model VS183) it has 3 different plates(a pair of each. One for straightening, crimping, %26amp; making it wavy. But since I've never used one of these I'm confused with the instructions. I want to straighten my hair, am I supposed to put in both straightening plates in or just one? Thanks in advance for the help.

I believe you would put both straightning plates in because if you look at a regular it is on both sides. So i would put it on both sides.

Truly I dont like that straightner. It really damages your hair a lot. Try Jilbere. That works miracles. Trust me I am an expert at straighting hair. I work at a beauty salon. Dont waste your money on that.

you put in both plates, but make sure they're the same plates. you plug in the straightener and give it 30 minutes+ to heat up. the straightener should have a spot on one of the handles where you can lock it. when you go to straighten your hair, start at the root holding your hair up. right after you straighten it, do it again about 3 more times. but make sure that you don't burn your scalp or hair. depending on what style you want your hair to have, like say, crimped, leave the iron in one part of your hair for around a minute and a half. same with waving. and if you make sure the straightener is super hot before you use it, your hair will have the style you want.
