Can you use a chemical hair straightener, that is meant for black people, on someone who is white?

Any advice? My hair is really, really, curly, and I bought a chemical straightener, but its called "Dark and Lovely"..It does not say that white people shoul not use it, but a relative told me I better not because my hair texture might be different. What do you think?

I think that you should be able to use no matter, but what you might want to to is just use a little bit on a tiny patch of hair first, to see how it will turn out. That way at least you will know if it works, and if it does you won't waste your money.

no. different perms are use for different type of hair textures. if your white you may want to use another perm. maybe something from clairol or etc. dark n lovely is for textured hair(black people).

No. You'll ruin your hair if you use it. There's a reason it's for a black person's hair. Different types of hair have different textures, and it's not made for yours. See if you can return it or something, then maybe ask your hair dresser for advice. They can give you better ideas on what chemical straightener to use.
