Removing buildup from a hair straightener?

What is the best way to remove buildup from your hair straightener? Thanks.

You can use rubbing alcohol and a soft scrubber and it will come off pretty easy. Make sure it is unplugged first.

Apple cider vinegar helps in maintaining the Ph balance oh hair. try that. and also use a clear clarifying shampoo.

if it is a cheaper version, just junk it. It will fry your hair. If not, use a paste of baking soda and water with a washcloth. it should come right out. I have an on going battle with mt hair straightener. Good luck!
