The Wet2Straight hair straightener is one of the best straighteners i've ever had, it saids that there is no need to blow dry your hair, when its wet just use the straightener and it will be dry and straight.
it works, but when i do it, it sizzles, my sisters same straightener does the same thing. is that something to worry about? is it hurting my hair? or is it just ok?
My Wet2Straight hair straightener sizzles. whats going on?
I have the same straightener and I love it. I think mine makes the same noise. I asked the lady at the hair appt. if that was normal and she said yes, she said it is more damaging if you use it when your hair is wet and to use it when your hair is dry and it is as damaging as a curling iron. It's also bad for any straight iron to use wet hair. It is a really nice straight iron thought I love it too!

It is hurting your hair, yes. It's sizzling dear cause your hair is DAMP. You know...like when you drop water on a hot stove eye or skillet? or iron?
I know the irons are made for "wet or damp" hair, but it's very damaging to use heated tools like irons on your hair before it's completely dry. You'll just wind up with frizz in the end.

All straighteners are going to dry out your hair. Yours is drying your hair while it's straightening it. The sizzling is the moisture being heated until gone.
My Wet2Straight hair straightener sizzles. whats going on?
That's the water being heated and evaporating. Mine did that too. I don't know if it damages hair, but I got a new straightener and I let my hair air dry, but before school, I blow dry. Either way make sure you use a heat serum to protect your hair.

My Wet2Straight hair straightener sizzles. whats going on?
It's ok. It's just the sound of the water evaporating.
My Wet2Straight hair straightener sizzles. whats going on?
every straightner sizzles when its on wet hair.you should read the directions.
My Wet2Straight hair straightener sizzles. whats going on?
I agree. I have one as well, but I always blow dry my hair first. Straightening it when it's damp always left my hair frizzy and flipped outward. The sound you're hearing is the water from your hair evaporating through the straightener. If you notice, on the outside of the parts that you put your hair between, there are little holes through which the water can escape.
It's definitely hurting your hair, as any straightener will, whether your hair is wet or dry. If you could, try not to straighten it everyday. If you give it a break every once in a while, it'll do better.
My Wet2Straight hair straightener sizzles. whats going on?
It is frying your hair.
heat=damage
If you must have your hair straight and you have to use heat blow dry your hair straight using a round brush then go over really quickly with a straighter on;y if needed. It will take practice but you should be able to do it good luck.
