The one's they sell at Wal-mart are all conair straighteners, and with the exception of two, they're all really crappy. The two that are pretty good are the curling iron/straightener two-in-one.. It heats up really fast and it's 30 bucks. I tried finding pics of it online, but none of the exact thing come up. The other one is the one that lets you adjust the temperature and turn it on/off. It's an inch and a half.. any of the thin ones don't work , so don't even bother buying those.

Babyliss straighteners retail for about 60 bucks and are well worth it, if you can find them. You can buy they at Trade Secrets (If there are any close to you..)

To be honest though, I'd just buy an expensive straightener, you'll get a warranty, they work REALLY well, and they'll last a lot longer than these wal-mart straighteners.

The wet to straight one works good, even on just dry hair. I have one from walgreens that is conair and it was like 20 bucks. It works really good. the skinny ones tend to work better for me too btw. Hope i helped!

I think you should splurge and get the Maxi Glide, it's about 90 bucks at Bed Bath and Beyond. It works WONDERFULLY. It made my corkscrew, dry curly hair feel so silky, and straightened AND detangled all in one. It's perfect, trust me. I just got mine, and already, I'm completely addicted. It's great. Seriously.
