My daughter's idiot dad put chemical straightener in her hair this afternoon. (Ack!) As soon as she got home I had her wash her hair... I think it's the same as perm chemicals, and that her hair may be damaged, but not straight. Am I right? Thanks in advance for any help.

use some neutralizing shampoo and make sure it says neutralizing. and give her a really good hair conditioner and let it sit for a while then rinse.

You can probably get neutralizing shampoo from Sally's Beauty Supply or in the store next to the black hair care (I have a bottle but I don't remember where I got it *sorry*). She might just have to grow it out but wait a day or so because doing all of this may put a lot of stress on the hair.
