Can I use a hair straightener directly to my hair? or Do I need to spray it with chemicals first?
you can use it directly on your hair, but it does damage your hair after a few uses....i wouldn't use it too often (not every day)..... best to use products... GHD oil is good....

IT'S RECCOMENED TO USE A HEAT PROTECTANT,I USE TRESSEME, WHEN I USED HAIRSPAY, I FELT MY HAIR WAS "BURNT" SO I DON'T USE IT.. MAKE SURE YOU DO IT IN SECTIONS... IT TAKES LONG AT FIRST,BUT WHEN YOU GET THE HANG OUT IT, IT WON'T TAKE AS MUCH TIME.

it depends how you want to style it. you can put a hair serum to get rid of the frizzies, but it's not required to apply anything. It won't damage it without using anything. Good Luck!

Any kind of heat will damage your hair.
I would only use it for "special" evenings. Daily is not really smart.
Make sure your hair is completly dry for best results unless it is a newer wet to dry model with steam vents.
I use a protectant spray when I flatiron but If you use Paul Mitchell "Super Skinny" hair products.... Shampoo, Conditioner, and Straighten Serum, you will not really have to flat iron much. I am SOOOOO glad my hairdresser suggested it. I get a liter of shampoo and cond for $25 and it lasts at least 2 months. The serum is about $15.
