They all cause damage, they are terrible for your hair, let you hair dry naturally, i promise i know, i used to straighten my hair every day and now i love my beautifully wavy locks!! or if you dont like that idea get a chi turbo bc their awesome and get a heat protectant, like nexxus heat protecter, or their are tons out their, best alternative is to quit straightening your hair!!

Gillette makes a hair straightener for white women called "Curl Free" Kmart used to sell it and Eckards sells it...If you can find a Revco pharmacy they also sold it there! This causes no damage to healthy hair and scalp...I have used it for years...

If you cannot find it here is the info to cal lthe company and ask them who sells it close to where you are located!

there isn't a straightener that doesn't damage your hair, because the thing that's damaging it is the heat - and all straighteners (even teh steam ones) use heat

GHDs in fact go to higher temperatures than most and are so worse for your hair

If you insist on straightening your hair, then always use a good heat protection spray beforehand, and condition ur hair everytime u wash it...occasionally using deep conditioning treatments which you can leave in for a few extra minutes.

Try to run the straighteners through your hair QUICKLY for minimum damage.

maybe you could start wearing your hair up in a ponytail so it won't need to be straightened so often?

don't let the straighteners get to hot either - the hotter they are, the more damage they'll do

Any chemical that changes the natural pattern of your hair is damanging. Heat is a chemical too. Straighten with heat is harmful as well.
