Good, inexpensive hair straightener?

What good, inexpensive hair straightener works best?

How much does it cost?

How long does it take to straighten sort of thick, shoulder lenghth hair?

Would semi-regular use dry out someone's hair?

Any straighteners I should stay away from?

Good and inexpensive never go hand in hand with hair staightener. Redkin makes a good product and it's about 30 bucks, but it works without drying your hair.

revlon makes some you can buy at wal-mart for 20 dollars and surprisingly they're not bad! I have a maxiglide that cost me over a 100 dollars and it's the best but they're expensive.... and it shouldn't take too long to straighten it....it depends on how curly your hair is.

get a flat iron and use as often as needed

If you are Caucasian as your avatar indicates, chemical straightening is NOT something you should do at home. You cannot put the same thing on your hair that is used on African hair or it will melt off.

For the love of God go have it done in a salon before you ruin your best natural beauty accessory.
